..... Since my last post.

I just thought I would come back and let you all know how I was doing (because you care :P).

I recently had a short (7 days) stay in a mental health facility. I was on Suicide precautions for the first 4 days. No shoes, No books with staples, you name it. I left there with a diagnosis of "Bipolar I with psychotic features". I have to say that since I've started Escalith 450 mg 2x daily, and Risperdone .5 in the morn and 1.0 in the evening I've started feeling a lot better.

It's unfortunate that my concentration has not fared so well. My preformance in school is still suffering, and no matter how much I desire organization and productivity in my life I don't seem to be able to attain it.

My therapist, though, has signed me up for a full psychiatric eval, and given me a "survey" that I need to fill out, give one to my teacher, and one to my mother. I think the results are going to show me as having ADD, my teacher has shown that she's putting SOMETHING on that form she thinks I won't like.

She's opted to mail it to the psychiatrist personally, and include a letter containing further information about me. Sounds fun. ;).

So anyway, I've been told that Stimulants probably won't be an option for me given the psychosis, but there are non-stimulant options for treating ADD, so I hope one of those works for me as well as adderall did.

Yeah, thanks for the support guys :). I know a lot of this would have never been taken care of had it not been for this site. This site has really enlightened me, until I found it, everything was my fault, I was a loser and failure who "just didn't want to work to his potential..." so thanks :). Once the ADD is taken care of, I'll be a happy camper.
