Hi,
I have his big tendency to blow things out of proportions... I feel that when I think and feel one aspect my life goes wrong, everything goes wrong and it goes really wrong and nothing is right, and nothing is ok... everything is black if I could say so... And when I feel it goes well, everything is right... really really right (which means I don't see anything coming either way). It's like I can't balance anything everything is either black or white... There is no shade of grey anywhere. My sister calls me a drama queen because of that. I blow every event up as if there were no tomorrow...
Am I the only one like this????

You're not alone, I'm the same way. I'm either really happy or really sad. There is no inbetween for me. :faint:

I hear you and can see how this would and can be a conflict -lets see if this quote can put it in perspective
From "all I needed to know I learned in Kidergarden "
A problem is when your child just got hit by a car , or your house is on fire or you just ran a drill bit thru your hand
everything else is just an inconvenince , the resturant screwing up your order , the cab to take you to work is two hours late, getting fired, and such
Your life will be miserable untill you figure out the differance

It's like I take everything too much at heart... I invest myself heart and soul. And when it goes well I float or levitate. And when it goes wrong (according to my standards) I crash. And when I get no feed-back I get really insecure. That's how it is in my daily job.

I have a daughter like this….she is extremely one way or the other. This is a part of her because neither me nor her father are like this….however my sister tends to lean toward this “black / white” mood style thing. Wonder if this tends to have a genetic factor???

some of the folks I know that display this paticular trait are self consumed meaning they believe the world actually takes -them- into consideration. I mean take me for example, were dating and I forget your birthday, was it on purpose or could it be that I'm forgetful and procrastinate.
Employers expect good work, thats why you get to keep your job and keep getting promoted, however screw ups are spoken about because they do not want repeats.
Sometimes the only way to get an atta boy is to slap your own back.

I so hope my boss is truthful in what she tells me because I really don't feel secure in this. I have the knowledge that I know but sometimes I feel as if I'm side stepping a lot, and apparently (or so she sais) she doesn't think it's that bad or she doesn't see it... I work with kids so it is a very particular "clientele".They don't always (this means never actually) react like adults or like adults want them to.
