Just thought I'd drop in and introduce myself since I've posted a little around here.

I've been diagnosed with ADD for almost three heavenly years. After so long of feeling bad about myself and thinking I was a flake... there was a name for the problems and help for them as well. Two of my three children also are ADD. My daughter, age 12, for five years and son, age 10, for four years. It was my sons doctor, who during the evaluation visited with me quite a bit, pointed out that I had " the worst case of adult ADD" he'd every seen... **laughs** It took me a year to gather the courage to seek an evaluation and diagnosis... but sooooooo very glad that I did. Life has been so much better.

I'm currently taking Rit. 20mg 4x day... works very well for me.
My daughter is on Concerta 36mg day and
we are starting my son on Strattera beginning on Saturday..with three days of both the Rit. and the Strattera before dropping the Rit.

Hmmm... well, that's our life story...

Kylin, glad you found us! I'm taking 20 mg Rit also and it works great, though I sometimes break them down a bit depending on the situation.
Glad to ready your intro and look forward to talking to you more in the future.

Hey there Kylin, and welcome to the ADD Forums! I myself was on Ritalin for 11 years, before switching to Strattera a month and a half ago.

For someone such as yourself who went for so long as an undiagnosed ADDer, I know first-hand how it feels to suddenly feel "right" after all these years! Glad to have you with us, and hearing about your son's success with Strattera! Welcome!!

Hi, Kylin. I had a wonderful neighbor who was from Muskogee, and I have been to Oklahoma a couple of times. Welcome to the group. Like you, I was very happy to get a diagnosis, and I am having more good days than not-so-good days.

Hope to be reading you more in future.
