Hi,
When I was diagnosed with BPD, I watched a video called "Dark Glasses and Kaleidoscopes". I bought the video and it helped people in my family understand BPD.
Is there a DVD/Video out there that explains ADHD in both Adults and Children that is similar to this?
Hubby is a "visual". He's not much of a reader and he's got a wife and a child with ADHD. "He ain't gettin it, buyin it or diggin it."
Anything out there?

Scattered 04-14-06, 04:48 PM I don't know about any entertainments movies, but there are definately educational videos out there about ADHD some of which include acted out scenarios of families. Barkley, Goldstein, Phelan and others have videos you can order through www.addwarehouse.com (http://www.addwarehouse.com). One title from my catalog is "ADHD: What Do We Know?" by Barkley-- it is $45 for ADHD folks or parents of ADDers. There are lots of others too.

oh what that berkeley thing? it's in the beginning of one of the programming books i have, i have yet to get past 50 pages cause i forget and go over it agian and agian and again adn again so i know all the intro stuff about sockets quite well lol.

Just curious.i'm curious about the ::'s......where have i...!!! i remembery, it's C++ :: it's used in header files or .h as were if u wanna go into definitions....speaking of definitions ::'s are used in C++ when a class wants to inherit properties...traits if u will of another class.
and u be correctamondo, i should really be doing some programming work and i kinda am, it depends on ur definition and how much leway there is in it :P
i mean i'm glancing at an example of 'how to make a server application in c using windows sockets' every now and again.
....me needs to play some music to calm me down a lil, i'm in quite an odd mood at the moment lol

Let's say I wanted to formally define what an integer literal looks like in C++. Integer literals are like 0, 1, 255, 0x32, 032, etc, but I need to specify the pattern so that I can implement a pa rser (this is not meant to be an exaustive example, as I omit octal and type specifiers here)
I could say that a DIGIT is defined by:
DIGIT ::= ('0' | '1' | '2' | '3' | '4' | '5' | '6' | '7' | '8' | '9')
And a hexadecimal digit are those characters, plus a-f, A-F
HEXDIGIT ::= (DIGIT | 'A' | 'B' | 'C' | 'D' | 'E' | 'F' | 'a' | 'b' | 'c' | 'd' | 'e' | 'f')
A series of decimal digits and hex digits could be defined by:
DIGITSERIES ::= (DIGIT | DIGIT DIGITSERIES)
HEXDIGITSERIES ::= (HEXDIGIT | HEXDIGIT HEXDIGITSERIES)
(* Notice the recursion above *)
So, if I wanted to define an INTLITERAL:
INTLITERAL ::= (DIGITSERIES | '0' 'x' HEXDIGITSERIES)
( "|" means or, like in c++ )
And so on, defining other rules for strings, identifiers, expressions, etc. It's important to see the hierarchy here. This is something is taught in a compiler construction course in a computer science cirriculum because it defines the grammar rules of a language to be implemented.
