At first when something extreme happens it makes me nervous and I can't concentrate then I reach a climax where it can't get any worse and then I suddenly let go and I feel good and can think clearly and not care anymore. When it happens I suprise myself and it makes me more happy. The sad part is when I realize it I make a sudden decline back to my normal state of mind. :(

Feeling "clearer headed" during extreme circumstances can be an ADD thing.........take a look at emergency medicine, fire fighters, there are uses as long as you can get through the Oh sh** phase pretty quickly...........naturally training can decrease the Oh sh** phase because you have the algorithm in your brain and while you are working through the algorithm your brain begins the clarity phase....
I do this every thing from house fires (mine) to bloody, bleeding patients, I have a moment of crap. .then away I go ..............
I can handle that kind of stress better than redundancy or interpersonal garbage called office politics!
Would have a touch of hyper would ya??? I am hyper active ADD.......and.........my very bouncy non-medical partner is the same way.............normally runs around in circles but is clearer headed during an emergency than most ordinary days of the life span!

Boy not me! I'm the one screaming "OMG! OMG! OMG!" during the entire length of the crisis.
You'd be better off to hit me with a tranquilizer dart during a crisis than to ask me for help. :D

I am very good to have around in an emergency! (well, I think so anyway!)
As long as the *emergency* doesn't involve VOMIT..LOL..
Emergencies make me think clear..concise..and organzied..act rationally..think quickly...form a plan..follow it through...wow...(I *am* good..hehe)
I wonder why??
I would love to work in emergency departments in hospital
