I work with a kid who is on Adderall, strattera, and lexapro. He is only 19 years old. Does that seem like a little bit of overkill to anyone else? He is always talking about killing himself. Like people should hit him with a pan, or put him in the oven. Just weird things like that.
Any input?

it's really impossible to say whether it's too much without seeing his diagnosis. it's also impossible to tell whether the symptoms you're mentioning are a result of overmedication, or whether these were pre-existing symptoms that were the reason why he was put on these medications in the first place.
it's an odd combination, to be sure, and i'm surprised that there aren't any really bad physical interactions. i hope that he's seeing a doctor regularly.

This combination is actually pretty common. I see it a lot and I know a few people on this board are either on it or have been on it. Particularly, there are many individuals finding strattera is good to combine with stimulants, and many ADHDers are on antidepressants (lexapro is the most common). I've taken this combo, and it was much better adding the strattera than adderall alone.
As far as whether it's too much... it's impossible to say like hyperion mentioned.
