you know it almost looks like a little oriental fusion too, especially in the lion's face.

For the lion painting I just used Arches watercolor paper.

Aiz,
I LOVE the Deviant Art website !!
It truly has some of the most spectacular, and variable forms of 'art', I've *felt* !!
I absolutely LOVE how you were able to capture a lion's 'cautious/weary'-ness..as reflected in his eyes, as he *watches* the 'face' of the fountain statuary...while he drinks.
Personally, it allows me, to encapsulate, how even the most 'courageous', exhibit 'weary/caution'...
Beautiful *art*, Aiz. (0:
Thank you for sharing.
Aizlyne 12-13-06, 05:50 PM THank you everyone! It's very encouraging to here feedback from people outside my school, major and family.

Aizlyne 12-13-06, 08:56 PM THankyou! there is a also a tiny button near the top right that says "scraps" Those are little things that arn't finished peices but are still things I like.
Aiz,
I appreciate, how you exemplify a 'blending mode' in 'So Happy'.
Between you *being* between 'earth and water'...both peaceful transitions...
It *feels* to me, like being on the 'brink' between peaceful coexistence of 'reality' and 'dream'...
Like I'm able to choose to *delve* into one 'state', or another..at any given *time*.

Like I'm able to choose to *delve* into one 'state', or another..at any given *time*.Oh, well I don't know about all that, Nova but what i do know is that it makes me giggle a bit whenever I seee it. I feel free and burdenless. I feel like those happy rhinos who have finally gotten to expierience the weightlessness of the sea.:)
I also like, how you personify the Woodcutter's *fear*, in 'The Woodcutter and The Mermaid'. (0:
I *feel*, that by shielding himself (by shielding his eyes/ face/ turning away from...) the mermaid....*it* will no longer 'exist' for him...
And if it 'doesn't exist'...he, therefore, has no 'cause'....to *fear* it...
Aiz,
My intent, wasn't to *tell* you, how you felt, when you create, lol !
I was just letting you in, on what I *feel*, when I look at some of your creations.
Sorry about the confusion. :)
I'm really not good with *words*.
