Often I feel so sleepy in the afternoon that I have to go to bed and then I fall asleep instantaneously. When this happens at work I could cry because there's nowhere to go. I've heard of companies where taking a nap at the office is supported by management.

Yeah some pople do that at our workplace, although I don't because I can't get comfy at my desk. I do get a crisis around 1 or 2 pm though where I could REALLY do with a nap!

We have offices in China and it's totally normal there for people to have a quick nap whenever they feel tired, I guess it's because they end up more productive afterwards!

Both my parents always have a nap after lunch, otherwise they're grouchy and unbearable ;)

I'm best with 8 hours of sleep, but I have problems sleeping too. I got about 4 hrs last night, and today being saturday would have loved to (and could have if body would let me) sleep in. I guess I average 6, but only with far more OTC sleeping pills than I would like to take. I'm on strattera and it seems to have a negative effect, but I'm sure it'd be worse with a stimulant.

I really think more companies need to allow this sort of thing. Give you an extended unpaid lunch, if necessary...

And a space to lay down with comfy chairs and blankets...

I'm self employed... you'd think being the boss would be enough "pull" to get a nap anytime it makes sense... I wish.

And napping without drugs didn't give me enough... It's like it really is an "independent " issues from really needing sleep// like the "sleepy center is getting falsely activiated and shutting down HALF my brain.

Stimulants screw it up so that I can't nap.

I can't figure my way out of this one.
