I went to my psychologist for the second time yesterday, On the first meeting she asked me about my history in school and stuff, and she gave me a survey to take home a fill out and I borught it back along with some tests that i had done at my community college and she told me that i should call my primary doctor and get meds. I am so confused so does this mean i do have it?

If you're in doubt, you could call your psych and ask. Even asking her receptionist should work.
Did she tell you what kind of meds to get? Did she say she was going to contact your doc with her diagnosis of you?
I would assume from what you said that she thinks you have ADD, but in my experience, assuming is never a good idea :P

Hi Dez,
What meds did she say you should get? That doesn't sound like a very through follow through. Ideally the psychologist will sit down and explain their findings and help you map out a treatment regime. If it is ADD, that should include not only medication but education about ADD, plus support, structures and stragies. This may or may not include follow up counseling, coaching, group support or whatever. Hopefully your doctor will give you more help and if I were you I'd ask for a written copy of the therpists findings (she should have sent one to your doctor and you can request a copy). If she didn't you have a right by law to get a copy from her of your diagnosis and what she found in your evaluation with you.
BTW, the books my therapist recommended that I read after he diagnosed me were Driven to Distraction by Hallowell and Ratey, Women with Attention Deficit Disorder by Sari Solden, and You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Stupid, or Crazy? by Ramundo and Kelly.
Let us know how it goes!

She told me to take ritalin or adderal. She just told me to call my doctor and tell her that i have met with her a couple of times and she says that i would benifit from medication. And so i did that i have an appointment next week.
