Ok...the latest question for all you ADDers out there...I'm wondering what the "average" number of kids in an ADD household is. How many kids do you have? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, More???

Not looking forward to each day is bad, cause all they do is fight anymore.

Sometimes knock down drag out, kicking, screaming and hair pulling.

Am really not looking forward for the littlest one to be 12 on her next birthday. She is a Leo.. and mouthy as they come, twins are Aries and Beth is a Capricorn. YIKES!!!!

I have 3.. one girl who is 12 and two boys who are 10 and 5(almost 6 )

Mary.. I hear ya about the fighting. My daughter and oldest son fight ALL the time..... and over the stupidest stuff. The latest fight about 15 minutes ago, was because my daughter was humming quietly to herself. *sigh* Duct tape, anyone?

i have 4 kids 2 girls 13 and 11 and wow the hormons fly and 2 boys 8 almost 9 and 6 they get on wonderful most of the time but i find in the evening my 9 yr old Jack(adhd) we have to watch cause he gets very aggressive towards his brother.
my 6 yr old Harry is odd and my 11yr old misha is add lol its a fun house!!!!!!

Hiya 5 of the little darlings here. 16g, 13b, 12g, 9g, and 5b, cant hear em fighting most days over the noise of me yelling at them, lol, am sooooooo glad I dont live next door to me.

i ahve 4 kids total. i,myself have 2,one boy age 9 and one girl age 12(my add child)and then added are my 2 step daughters ages 9 and 12 also. how does 2 hormonal pre teens sound to anyone . lol

I have four also, all boys. The oldest is nine and youngest is four and two squeezed inbetween, LOL!

2 - one boy 8 -AD/HD, one girl 3 -not ADD just a "princess complex"

3 boys, 16 , 11.5, 10 .. There is 17 months between the two youngest and , I swear, they bicker even while they sleep. If I ask them to please stop cause it is slowly starting me to percolate, they look at me like they have no idea what i mean, lol. Besides fighting with each other, they will defend each other to the hilt with anyone else. the 16 year old rolls his eyes a lot. We listen to the same music, which is mostly alternative and heavy rock, lately we have been on a RAMMSTEIN kick, his mom always yells at us to TURN IT DOWN, lol.

i have 6 darling little angels, 14, 10, 8, 7 and 4 - all boys. And we just adopted our 2 year old neice. The oldest is ADHD and the 8 year old in ODD.

It like Wrestle mania 2003 in my house 24/7.

I have 1 daughter 13 (boogiebutt) with AD/HD, OCD, ODD, Deep Depression and suspected bipolar. Her and hubby go around and around all the time. Hubby loves to pick on her but then of course that gets her ODD going :(. Hubby has a daughter 14 who comes to visit a few times a year and during the summer. And boy since both girls are teenagers. Oh the hormones..lol

I have and 11 year old girl (gifted) and a 4 year old boy that is ADD/H. Here is the fun part. They are exactly 7 years 17 days and 21 hours apart (yes I have it down to the hours) both are leos and smart as gifted. Mom always said I would have one like me and one like my sis. My daughter has my personality and my son has my sisters. But they both have my temper when pushed. Just seems like my sons button was stuck in the on position like his aunts.

40 and still no children. I don't even know if I can get pregnant or not.

Do I want any? Sure, as long as they are quiet.

I use to doubt wanting children until the lady that does my hair said that when I leave this earth, I want to leave something of me behind.

I know exactly what you mean. Beth hums a lot, and all the girls yell at her... don't which is worse. Her humming or them screaming? ....ooOO(duct tape for all 4)

LOL, more people have only 1 kid - they learned after the first time.

I have a daughter 16 with maybe Asperger and a son 13 (Nov 9), The compitition is fearce.

I have two girls 4 1/2 yo and 2yo.

No kids as of yet... kinda starting to think about it (my Mom was 2 years older than me when she had me) and I'm good with kids and used to babysit a lot when I was younger, but as someone else said early in the discussion, how do you handle working, household, partner AND kids?

I only just barely hold it together with a couple of cats and two chinchillas with a boyfriend who is unemployed (works part-time as a work placement at the moment) and helps out a lot, G*d knows what'd happen with kids!!!

Terrified of giving birth. Terrified that I'll regret it. Terrified that my kid would turn out like me (depression, anxiety, ADD). Terrified of how it would change my relationship with my husband (which isn't the greatest). Terrified of the stress it would add to my life. And terrified of how much children actually cost.

ferrette - But think how prepared you are for kids who might have what you have? I feel sorry for my parents. They just don't understand my ADD or my anxiety so had no idea how to deal with me. My children are much better off than I was. Sure I feel guilty when my son has anxiety but I know what to say to make him feel better and how to look at things. He will know how to manage his anxiety much earlier than I did. My kids feel no regret that I'm what I am. Love is great that way.

Well, that's true.

I think my not having children has more to do with the fact that I still feel like a child myself. And I don't know if I'll ever grow up! Some people might feel that being child-like is an advantage, and maybe on some level it is. But for me, I am more worried about how easily stressed and frustrated I get. I know that raising a child takes a lot of patience - and I am not sure I have that kind of patience.

Well, I could go on and on.

Kudos to all of you ADD parents out there who are working so hard to do things right. :)

No human kids here.. just 2 dogs and 2 cats! My cats are beautiful silver and black tabbies.. they're littermates and both females. One of my dogs is a pekingese/chihuahua mix.. my pekahua. The other is a poodle/chihuahua mix.. my chiapoo. :D

Five kids, two grandkids, and I am only 33! Cookies to whoever figures this one out! Oh, and "You were a talented precocious 13 year old" is not an acceptable answer. ;-)

I have 3. My eldest is a girl age 8 with ADHD and dyslexia. My middle is a boy age 6 with ADHD, ODD and somthing else.
My baby is a 2 year old girl, sweet as pie.

I have two boys, ages 12 and 14, which our support system says count for
5 1/2 since they are both AD(H)D. I must say most days 5 1/2 feels more accurate :D.

I am not married and don have any kid yet. But, I think if I am going to have kid, I will just be very happy with one kid. One thing is I don't know how to teach a kid, if they are going to shout around in the house everyday, I don't think I can take it. LOL. One is enough and expensive to have too many kids. Kids like pets are cute at initial stages.......but after some years, they lost that innocence. LOL. And anyway, I don't mind not having kid, since having kid can really take up alot of time..etc, so that's hard.

3 boys, 1 girl. i spend half part of each day wondering, "how in the world did i get so many children?" (i actually do know the answer to that!) i love them immeasurably as they are incredible, inquisitive, kind, loving, generous, painfully honest and......they drive me absolutely nuts a great deal of the time!!!!

I have three kids. I have a boy that turned 9 today as a matter of fact and he is ADHD, another boy that is 5.5 and a little girl that is 3. They are SO awesome yet so annyoing at times. :) Love them and wouldn't trade them for the world though.

I have 3 kids, one boy 18 yrs old (ADHD) , a 13 yrs old. And my baby girl 7 and one half going on 21 yrs old :D . They are great kids , very happy, active and healthy...that is the most important part for me. And yes they do drive me nuts also lol.

I learned so much about "me" from my two offspring.

I have three beautiful, amazing children. My oldest is a young woman of 23 (ADD / gifted) who is a certified scuba dive instructor -- she is currently traveling with her boyfriend, teaching diving at different resorts around the world. My son is 8 (ADD / gifted) with an imagination that never ceases to surprise and delight me. And my youngest daughter is 5 -- she was a preemie and has cerebral palsy -- a charmer who knows how to "work the cute" better than anyone I know, LOL... they are all high-maintenance, and I adore them...:)
