DS3 saw the ed psyche in January for initial assessment and looking at ways of dealing with his behaviour and aggression.
It was entirely a waste of time. Basically he (EP) said the school should find a way to deal with it, I pointed out they had tried and he was meant to give us ideas of how to deal with it... he was not best pleased with that lol.
He also said DS can't possibly have Aspergers because he can have a conversation.. obviously he is well informed.. NOT!! Anyway, he CAN have a conversation IF it is 1-2-1 OR if it is about something he loves or hates.. in this case they were talking about school which he hates, and star wars which he loves.
I am still not entirely convinced that he doesn't ahve Aspergers and I am pushing for a proper assesssment regardless armed with relevant research materials and symptoms/signs.
Is there anything useful you can think of I can fling in his direction with a 'well actually research shows x, y and z' ???
I need it before next Thursday too!!
Thanks in advance.
