I recently started to use I-Navigation 3.2, I bet there is other similar programs. Itīs basically mind mapping a very good one, but once I got used to be able to organize thoughts that goes around and around in the mind, I felt liberated sort of.

I always think I should write what I think but I never do that :/ this is way easier I noticed, definitely recommended for anyone with a mind like my own:)

I'll check it out! I always think of journaling and stuff like that but never do! I would just be worried about not remembering to use it!

I've been using Inspiration for several years. Nice tool for studying (it says k-12 but it's so flexible, I've found uses ranging from studying for university courses to brainstorming processes at work).

I'm testing out I-Navigation on a 20 page research paper I'm writing for a course at my university and it's impressively helpful with organizing thoughts. I have yet to see if it will help me produce results, but thus far I'm impressed!

I am fascinated by this approach to organizing things in a graphical and dynamic way. After some googling I found an interesting related program called Freemind (http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page) -- which is a free and open source mind mapping program that can be used on Linux and Mac machines, for those of us who just have to be different.

Not sure how useful I'll find actually using this approach, but it seems like something my disordered brain might like...

Thanks for pointing it out!

I like NovaMind (http://www.nova-mind.com/) a lot. Expensive though, so if you believe in paying for such things... it's pretty much out of the question for most people.

Hi. I'm new to forums so hopefully I'm doing this correctly. I found this post intersesting but even though I work in health care I must declare unfamiliarity with "mind mapping." What is it and how does it work? Can you either instruct me or recommend a website with more information?

Thanks for your time.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not in healthcare and I'm not new to forums but I have an enquisitive (is that the word?) mind. I'm always following people's links. LOL. This sounds like it could be interesting but I don't totally understand yet either.
