Here are some things about me that I haven't mentioned yet. I am wondering how many of you experience this stuff...

1. I count things... I count the books on my book shelf, the number of letters in a word, etc. I also have things that I can get obsessed about and will think about without wanting to.

2. I sometimes get a song stuck in my head

3. I will play the same song over and over again until I get tired of hearing it

4. When I was a kid, I had a lucky number.

5. I have extra good sensitive hearing. I complain about sounds that nobody else can hear. No, I don't hear voices or anything but I can hear the boom boom of music and other low key sounds that go unnoticed by everyone else.

6. I worry about the smallest stuff. I worry about losing things, about people I love getting hurt or dying, if someone is going to call, etc

7. I can get very passionate about something then get tired of it very quickly.

8. I rock to music and daydream. I rock standing up, too.

9. I have poor short term memory but I can remember dates very well

10. I am a perfectionist to a certain degree. I don't like to start anything unless I am sure I am going to do a good job

11. I have an all or nothing attitude

12. I change my mind and my mood very fast, within hours

13. I can feel happy and sad at the same time. No kidding!

I do them all but for some reason this one really struck a cord:

7. I can get very passionate about something then get tired of it very quickly.

This is pretty common, I think. Given that ADD and OCD are so closely related in terms of causes (this is still true, right?), it's not surprising that symptoms cross over a lot. Ditto with some of the other things on your list.

2. I sometimes get a song stuck in my head

What, only sometimes? :) I'm not exaggerating when I say this: I have had a song stuck in my head since at least 1991. As you can imagine, it's mostly faded into the background, kind of a made-up background noise that only I can hear. This was only a problem when it was a song I didn't like.

I have since learned to start humming a different tune, a very specific classical piece:
Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #2 (http://www.download.com/seanbennett), but a better version than the one I just linked to. ;)

Hey Jett, since you count things, Have you ever researched numerology. I think that you would like it. Also, have you seen the movie PI. It's PI the math symbol. It's a wierd movie that I watched a long time ago.
I do almost all of that long list except that I don't rock. My brother did that a lot. He rocked himself to sleep as long as I can remember. For all I know , he still does.
Also, I cannot remember dates at all. I hated history for that reason. I love the actual history stories but if I have to remember dates then forget it.

HI Jett! I do 1/2 of those things. I'm probably OCD. The 1/2 of things I have in common with you are the ones I know are OCD, like counting is very typical. It's funny you mention that. About the ONLY time I do not have a song running through my body is when I'm counting. It's very annoying and irritating, but it fills the void. I guess the brain has to be in constant stimulation. Geez, I even count the same things over and over and over, just for something to do. I count tiles, anthing in a grid format, rows of things, windows in a home. The funny thing is I can never remember the total! Isn't it weird??

Do these symtpoms persist on your cocktail?

I may not be OCD, but I do:

2. I sometimes get a song stuck in my head

3. I will play the same song over and over again until I get tired of hearing it

5. I have extra good sensitive hearing. I complain about sounds that nobody else can hear. No, I don't hear voices or anything but I can hear the boom boom of music and other low key sounds that go unnoticed by everyone else.
