I have been taking 30mg 2x a day but it only gets me till like 4 i need another 3 hours for work. Is 30 3x a day to much to ask for? i work 10.5 hours a day.

I'm prescribed 20mg 3x a day. For me ritalin is good for about 3.5 hours a pop. I also take less than the 20 mg tab most of the time but I prefer to be prescribed the 20mg so I can break it into sections.

How much do you weigh (aprox.) and how long have you been on 30mg? That seems like a lot but I know everyone is different. Also, are you taking brand or generic? If generic you may want to try taking 20 mg. brand and see how that works for you. Generic has been much weaker for me personally and the side affects are greater.

I went up to 80mg in the morning before I left for work. It has been working great but now my ears ring loudly...
