Hi Im billy (aka wildboy06), I'm 13yrs oldand i joined yesterday i would like to chat about school because I'm on the verge of getting chucked out at the end of second year of secondary school.

I'm in all the top set's but my behaviour is holding me back and i am capable of doing better than I already am, I was on Ritalin 20 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the afternoon, A couple of years later I changed to slow release ritalin that was a 20mg capsual in the morning, but this supressed my appetite and I was having trouble sleeping, so I changed again to 20 mg of stratta in the morning, I don't think it works aswell as the ritalin but I am able to eat and sleep better.

On the ritalin i was able to focus a bit better and the slow release tablet I think didn't help at all, I'm so worried i'm going to get chucked out for good now, a couple of weeks ago I went into school and I was very silly and phoned the police from school 5 or 6 times and they have taken it extremely serious and was on the verge of chucking me out for good! Instead they have excluded me for 20 school day's, My mum has seeked help in getting a baseline assessment done, can any one explain to me and my mum what this exactly is, any one with advice please help?

Welcome, Billy!

Calling the police (for no reason) is definitely not a good thing. It takes time away from them helping others that need the help, and from stopping crimes.

It's a good thing they decided to not expel you!

I'm guessing they're going to do a baseline assessment of your behaviors at school? maybe home, too?

During a baseline assessment, someone will watch to see what happens at school.

Do you like school?! What are your favorite and most horrible subjects?

Hi Billy, welcome to the forums :) You have a funny avatar by the way.

Everyone is silly once in a while (for me, once in a while is every eight hours), but when it gets out of hand like that, then it's obviously not good. Do you know what makes you do this? As in is there anything you do before you called the police, or was it just hyperactivity?

I can't offer much advice though, I'm no expert on the subject. But I hope that everything goes okay soon.

Go to one of your coaches or a gym, and try pumping iron every other day for an hour. On the days in between do some aerobic exercise. A vigorous workout can take the edge off of meds and help to promote a healthy eating and sleep cycle. You can do this alone, or with a bud. Exercise helps release natural chemicals in the brain that make you feel good.

Thanx for the advice but i've got back in to football instead and back in school thumb's up . But sadly only for two hours a day. Three day's a week 1 week and then 5 day's a week the next but alternate. And my mum got a punchbag so i use that aswell. Everything is back on track and going fine.

Are you liking the punching bag, Billy? how's football going?

well, I suppose it's better to get to go 2 hours a day and work your way up - than not be going at all :)
