My allergies have been bad recently, and it just hit me tonight if I could take some sort of antihistimine with adderall. Because I know some antihistimines make you feel drowsy, and obviously, adderall is the complete opposite, so I was just wondering.

ps - does anyone ever get a paranoid feeling when crashing at the end of the day? Eating used to help, but it just minimally gets rid of it.

If you are asking if this is ok to take both at the same time - your pharmacist would be the best person to ask.

I take benedryl at night once in a while for seasonal allergies, but I have never taken benedryl at the same time as Adderall, because I take Adderall in the morning/afternoon and have (non-drowsy) prescriptions for allergy meds.

If your allergies are bad and you need to take something during the day you have OTC options as well as prescription that are fine to use with Adderall.

I've had to take prednisone and benedryl at the same time for severe allergic reactions and that has never been a fun experience. It was horrible to feel jittery and sleepy at the same time. I imagine that taking benedryl and adderall at the same time could have similar results.

I take Zertec for allergies, sometimes at the same time or close to the same time that I take adderall. It doesnt seem to have any adverse effects that I have noticed. Also, Zertec may be a no drowsy antihistimine (that would be my guess, since it last 24 hrs). Have you concidered trying Claritatin. I believe that it is "non-drowsy", too.

As far as paranoia goes, is it a possiblity that it is anxiety? I sometimes (most times, actually) experience anxiety in the evening when the med hasnt quite worn off. My anxiety is over the anticipation of it wearing off, and that there is still an endless amount of things to do...despite the good days when I did a lot.

Still havent figured how to deal with that yet. My solution tends to be drinking, but that is no solution at all. Good Luck.

I take zyrtec with my adderal too. Actually I take the zyrtec at night because I'm one of those weird people that everythign makes drowsy. The first week I take the zyrtec the adderal can't cut through the drowsy feeling but then that side effect goes away and it all works fine together.

Take the Benadryl at night.
