I'm 23 and just started taking adderall. Of all the stuff I've read about it slowing down a child's growth I haven't found anything about it doing anything to adults. I know I'm done with most of my growing but the males on my father's side generally have a growth spurt around age 30. They don't get taller just a lot broader and thicker. But not from fat, its like their bones grow too. Both my dad and uncle weighed about 50-75lbs more at age 35 then they did age age 21 (but not from fat and/or muscle) so this is why I am concerned about "stunting" my growth. Anybody know?

The studies in children seemed to indicate that while it sometimes delayed growth spurts, it didn't seem to affect overall final height. So it's possile that it might delay this in you, and you find it occurring at age 40 or something. Or it could have no effect. Or you might not have inherited that trait. It's really difficult to say with any certainty what might happen, but it's unlikely that it would completely prevent this growth if you inherited the genetic predisposition.
