Need some opinion's on this stiuation.

I usually take generic Ritalin SR-20mg along with generic ritalin 10mg. Since my doctor had a coupon for brand-name Ritalin LA, I decided to give it a try. The Ritalin LA doesn't seem to agree with my body. It's not working like my generic Ritalin SR AT ALL. Pharmacist says they are "basicly" the same thing, but won't elaborate on the specific difference between the two. Am I imagining things or has anyone else had this experience in switching meds?

I just know that when my husband went to get my first Ritalin LA scrip filled yesterday he asked about the SR and the pharmacist said I would probably like the LA a lot better. I am a student and he said for me to study for longer periods of time, this would be better. That is all I know. I wanted the SR since it comes in a generic and is cheaper (I believe)
