a lil history on me... i took ritalin when i was younger until i graduated high school in 2003. Then i stopped for a year to see how id be without the meds. After a year of being off i decided i wanted to be back on becuse i was going to be startingsome harder classes at college tha would require my concentration and focus. Dr put me back on ritalin 3 doses of 10 mg daily which just made me jittery and couldn't sleep, tried concerta and it did the samething. So then tried strattera and that seemed to be better. I was on that for almost 2 years. I started nursing school in 2005, and the beg of this year i noticed that i couldnt concentrate focus or sit still and was having bad impulsivity. SO i went to my dr and he changed me to adderall over easter break. It seemed to be helpingfor the past month and a half but then it just kind of seemd to stop. I was on adderallxr 20 mg, two times daily.
So i went back to the dr this week and he said hed try ritalin again at a smaller dose. SO yesterday i took 20 mg and I did the same today. Well today i noticed that im really depressed! I dont know if its the med or me but it sucks. DId this happen to anyone else? Will it go away? Is this from adderall withdrawls possibly? I also kind of feel like I'm not really that focused and dont want to study. I'm kind of irritated too.
Should I go back to my adderall because ritalin isn't any good for me? Give it a few more days?
Any advice or suggestions? Can anyone relate?
