Just like the title says, I lost my brown wallet containing $20.00, my Social Security, ATM, School ID, Health Insurance Card --Enough for someone to steal my identity.

I have a fairly small room and i've been in it for the past 5 days, and the last time I went out was to go with some friends to some Christian party even thingy. On the ride home, I spotted my friend $5.00 for gas and from there I don't remember where it could be. It could've fallen out or something. But then I have a friend who I started hanging out with who I think wouldn't take it because i've been very generous to him :/ I'm mad, scared, and confused.

Ugh!

Sorry for my rant lol

Edit:

Timeline:

March 25th - Christian Event, Had my wallet the entire time. Pitched in for gas. Had to take it out of pants. Can't recall what I did with it next --Logically I must've put it back in pants.

March 27th - Studied with friend, first noticed when I couldn't find my wallet, mentioned to friend.

zz

Edit Edit:

OH man panic attack; They have my SS, thus can retreive my bank pin, and maybe retrieve my meager $300.00 saved up lol. Or ring up credit -.-.

Just checked my bank's status online, everything seems ok...

Edit Edit Edit (LOL): I'm not looking for pity or anything, but does anyone have any enlightning stories about a lost wallet or purse?

You can call your bank and report your card as lost/stolen, they will cancel it and get you a new one, same with my credit cards. Do that right now. Even if you find it, you can get a new card and it won't cost you anything. Probably not a good idea to carry around social security card in your wallet, with identity theft abounding. As for your credit, you can put a statement on all 3 credit reporting agencies warning of possible identity theft, which will be harder for anyone to get credit in your name.

Hope you find it. It can be a pain to replace your driver's license without picture ID with the changing of laws after 9/11.

I am so sorry to hear that happened to you. I am always loosing my wallet, keys, cell phone, etc. And I know the panic I feel when I am looking for the lost item.

The first thing I would do, as already suggested is to call the bank. You certaintly do not want to have to deal with unwanted charges on your card

Good luck to you
