I'm new to the site and noticed that most of your kids are on Concerta, Ritalin, Stratera. Anyone out there have experience with Metadate CD? My 14 years old son just started taking Metadate CD. He has never been on any other medication. It was good for about three days and now he is complaining of chest pains. I don't know if this is a coincidence or the medication. Any feedback is welcome.

If he is experiencing chest pains I would contact his doctor immediately -- while these meds are safe for the majority of folks -- for some who have undiagnosed heart problems it can cause problems. Please -- Call the Doctor -- find out if you should immediately discontinue the meds! Let us know how it goes.

While it is possible that he is having an anxiety attack or heart burn, you don't want ot take any chances.
