Anyone else out there overly sentimental? I went to a small HS that had no reunions but lately in my middle age, I have had a strong desire to see some of my old friends.

Maybe its because I am an only child and these kids were like siblings, maybe its because I moved to a new school every year of my life and HS and these kids were the only classmates that I had ever known for 4 years straight. Maybe it’s just because I was an obnoxious ADD/ADHD poster child and I finally want to be excepted into the click with full honors and prove to them that I DID grow up fine! (anyone feeling this one?) I found out that some of them still hang out together 20 years later. I feel incomplete now more than ever without them and a little hurt too.

I am exactly the opposite OP. I occasionally have a moment of fond remembrance for a few people I knew in HS? I did keep in touch with a few of those people at first and discovered we had grown apart. There are many that did stay in the same area and they seem to remain the same incomprehensible "clique" they were in HS.

Of course I was quite the party-gal in HS as well, and I have left that part of myself behind so have nothing left in common with the members of the group I partied with that remain friends to this day.
