I am adult woman in my early 30’s. I was actually diagnosised in childhood and was on Ritalin until Highs School when I decided I did not want to take it. I was in a very structured environment (boarding school) so I did pretty well. I stated in school just completing a PhD but now with out the structure of school to help me goal focus I

I have become more interested in getting rid of my issues with inconsistencies and constant distractive ness which leads me feeling incompetent.

Over the last four months I have tried Foclin, Concerta, Adderall but they all make me anxious. However they do work but the side effects are so great I would only take it when I really needed to concentrate because I am very quiet and become a little down when taking it. Now I am trying Strattera but it does not seem to work- I am up to 80 mg for about the last couple of weeks. My Psych. Says I need to wait a few more weeks. IF this does not work she still wants to try others. Has anyone else been one of the other drugs for narcolepsy? I am discouraged after reading about other people feeling their problems are helped so raddically with meds. I want to change my clutter and be better about setting my goals, remembering things, not losing things etc… Any Thoughts? Have others been through anxiety with amphedamines?
