I've half-seriously said this before, but i really think i'd be good at it. And when I come onto this forum and all the other bright, capable people suffering from discrimination in their jobs, i keep thinking that i should be part of the solution. I'm bright, i'm entrepreneurial -- yeah, i've been told that i can't do jobs where i was completing tasks in 1/4 of the time of others because i "don't focus well" and such, but i'm digressing....
Anyway, the point is i've been this same place, i still am this same place, and i feel like an absolute failure (or worse, a waste of intelligence). So how can i learn to counsel others who are in the same boat?
Is there some degree you get to be an "ADD expert"? Psychology Ph D? MD (to be a shrink)?
What about a "career counselor"? I think i read that some people start as guidance counselors, and that's actually an area that interests me too.
But anyway, does anyone have any advice? Sorry if i'm repeating myself but i haven't posted here for six months, so hopefully i'm not too annoying.... :-D
