Does anybody with ADD have the following problem with data entry?

When I have data entry jobs (the strange thing here is that I am a really good typer!) I have trouble telling whether what I typed is right or not. Especially when it comes to numbers! Addresses especially cash!

At a certain point like after a week on the job my mind started steaming! Yes really! I look at the screen for at least 15 minutes trying to comprehend whether what I typed is the right number .

I have not been formally diagnosed with ADD but I think I have it.

Could anyone please tell me how to avoid this problem.

My excellent typing skills are being outweighed by my inability to tell whether what I typed is right or not.

You get a lot further than I ever could. I'd rather eat broken glass than do data entry. Work like that, which doesn't require any advanced thought yet demands my full attention, is the absolute worst for me.

I did data entry for a couple of years...and I can type very fast. I did very well..but after a while I would start to invert #s. Stupid mistakes. I dont know if it was ADD related or not...I was diagnosed at the time.

The data entry position I had was not "mindless" keying though. There was a fair level of thought involved. So maybe that is why it held my interest.
