I hope I am not aiming for the wrong thing now..... I never got a "euphoric" feeling. Before I started taking add/adhd meds i was the type of person that would start to clean the kitchen and i would basically have to map it out into grids in order to get it finished at all. I would start to put things away then I would leave the room and go get a sock off the floor, then i would set the sock down to go look for a sponge then i would find the sponge, but on my way back to the kitchen i would set it down somewhere and lose it. I would search for a bit then give up. go back to the kitchen only to find the sock on the counter and then ect... ect. Getting a whole room cleaned was never an option. i would work all day and get little done, very frustrating.
Anyway. when i first started taking Ritalin short acting, omg wht a change. I was up and motivated and workin in 20 mins and I could get a whole room done and not leave too often. I would even tackle a room that is a store room. before I wouldn't even look at that room, I would rather have set it on fire then to even think about cleaning it up. So, I am now scared that the motivation is the euphoric feeling. Is the motivation feeling then wrong thing to be aiming for?
Next question. I think it works a bit, but I am the add/adhd type that can't focus if there is any type of sound around. I hyper focus on the sound and not wht I am suppossed too. Concerta has not helped that at all. Ritalin did.
