I have found on weekends I forget my adderall...or just take it as often. I think it may be because it is such a pain to get refilled...it is like I want to stretch it out as long as possible. I always take my 3 doses of adderall daily throughout the work week....but on the weekend...I just don't for some reason.
I don't know if it is like this everywhere..but where I live I have to go the doctor's office once a month to pick up my adderall RX. They cannot write refills on it. I guess I am just used to my asthma medication...the doctor sees me once a year and writes my medication for a year.

The doctor isn't allowed to write you three months worth of scripts at a time?? Wow what state you live in? I've never heard of a state being that way. If you didn't have insurance, that'd be an awfully expensive endevor to medicate your attention deficits!!

I only get my meds one month at a time, but my asthma and allergy meds are like you, just scritps and visits once per year.
I just forget on the weekends or days off because I don't have a routine like I do during the workday. I fall asleep just fine with meds (actually better with them in my system than without) so I don't worry about taking them too late. If I remember and am due for a dose, I take them.

The doctor can only write it and I mean WRITE IT..cannot even just call it in to the pharmacy for me...once per month.
I have insurance....but I find it irritating that I cannot get refills. I know it is the law..etc etc but it is a pain.

Yes, it`s the same for me. To the Doc once a month,,,, $40.00 a visit. I have no health insurance either. I do what I have to do to keep things afloat. It could be worse.

Well I don't have to pay for an office visit...he writes the RX and leaves it at the front desk for me to pick up.
I wish it were easier though.

I`m hopeful that in time I`ll be able to do the same.... But, like I said, It could be worse. I have read threads where people are unable to find a Doc who writes Rx`s. Now that would be a total drag!!!
