View Full Version : Stirring people up :)
I've always loved to get a reaction from people, probably why I like fancy dress etc. A friend coined the term "natural born s**t stirrer".
I'd like to share some ways that I've stirred up reactions from people.
At a high school party I stirred up one of the 'tough guys'. I knew that he was a bit homophobic, so standing in a group close the where he was and said quite loudly in a camp voice "ooh that James guy is really cute", making sure I could see him out of the corner of my eye in case he snapped and threw a punch. :D
He didn't but he quickly disappeared and kept a low profile for the rest of the night.
Another one for parties is to put on an outragous wig (in this case a blonde afro) and rejoin the party acting naturally, and keeping a serious look on your face. When somebody finally comments, I act embarassed and say "oh, you noticed? I hoped it would look natural".
I'll add more when they come to mind. :)
Crazy~Feet 07-13-06, 06:28 PM Heh. Sounds like me and a steady in HS. WE had to have a theme for every party--personal theme that is. We had Steve Martin arrow-through-head headgear, military caps, Bee antennas, once we wore sunglasses all night and when people asked why we replied "What sunglasses?" :D.
Of course I am also heavily and visibly tattooed as well , I think that speaks for itself.

Chele77 07-13-06, 08:05 PM Ohh, how many tats do you have? I only have two.
Crazy~Feet 07-13-06, 08:10 PM Ohh, how many tats do you have? I only have two.I have 6, most of them visible at all times, and one huge back tatt that has been published.
Sadly, I forgot to buy that issue of the tatt mag !

Chele77 07-13-06, 08:12 PM What are they of? :)
Crazy~Feet 07-13-06, 08:16 PM What are they of? :)Some tribal bits on my wrists, one tiny rose in my right-hand web (a joke tatt made to look like a stick-on for times requiring long sleeves), and old name that needs a coverup, a Celtic cross on my left bicep in memorium of a friend, then the back is this fairie with a crystal ball in a flower garden .
Chele77 07-13-06, 08:18 PM That's funny, I have a celtic cross too, on my leg. :) My other one is of kermit the frog and its on my hip
I couldn't decide on a tatt to get, so I got pierced instead. :p
Crazy~Feet 07-13-06, 08:22 PM I had my tongue done, Animal, but it migrated and I had to remove it :( I doubt I will have the guts to go through with it a second time.
I did my tongue and eyebrow, but caught the eyebrow one tearing off my necklace one night :(
Tongue hasn't given me any problems, 7 years on.
~boots~ 07-13-06, 10:02 PM I couldn't decide on a tatt to get, so I got pierced instead. :pme too...I prefer piercings :D
~boots~ 07-13-06, 10:04 PM I did my tongue and eyebrow, but caught the eyebrow one tearing off my necklace one night :(
Tongue hasn't given me any problems, 7 years on.I want my eyebrow done..but my charming kids keep saying
"you will look like a lesbian!"..I am OK with that, but they say I am too old for an eyebrow ring:eek:
I could never get rid of my tongue stud:p

Me either. It feels so wierd when I take it out!
I ran into an ex a while ago. You know what she said??? not that she missed me.. " I really miss that tongue stud " :faint:
*~ §EEK ~* 07-14-06, 05:26 AM I ran into an ex a while ago. You know what she said??? not that she missed me.. " I really miss that tongue stud " :faint:
Oh, you got the tongue stud in the divorce settlement??? hehe :D
:)
it wasn't a very long relationship, about 3 months, and there wasn't a lot of feelings there.... but we had lots of fun.... probably could have been better mates than partners :)
I should have been a smart a** and taken it out and given it to her!
fasttalkingmom 07-14-06, 09:34 AM I had my tongue done, Animal, but it migrated and I had to remove it :( I doubt I will have the guts to go through with it a second time.
I have a 16 1/2 yo daughter. She has the "normal" ear piercings (one on each ear lobe) and than a couple not so normal, sorry I forget what the names are. They are one that curvy part of you ear, closer to your face.
She has talked to me about getting the underside of her tongue pierced. Do you know what I mean? That piece that kinda attaches your tongue to your month. I don't want to give her permission to have this done and I told her I'd like for her to wait till she's old enought to make this choice on her own.
The ears were one thing, her tongue is another. I don't have issues with this if it's what she or anyone wants to do, it's not something I'd do. But as her Mom I just can't say it's ok for at 16.
Tell me more about what you all know about this kind of piercing.
Tell me if I'm being weird... but be gentle.... ;)
~boots~ 07-14-06, 10:08 AM FTM...I have said to my kids for years.."get a piercing..get a piercing..we can do it together" etc etc..I knew damn well it would have the effect I wanted..LOL
None of them will get it done anymore..no matter how much I nag..It's like the opposite effect!!!
But, you have to try that when they are younger..
The older one got her tongue done, but took it out !!
If she does go for the tongue..INSIST it is ok as long as she has PLASTIC or resin..so if it is bitten on, the teeth aren't wrecked...
I haven't heard of the bottom part of the tongue being done. Mine is straight through my tongue.
I changed my piercing last night. I have the flexible plastic ones ($1 each from ebay), and when I took the old one out I noticed that one of the balls was almost square! I must have bitten it pretty hard sometime :p lucky it wasn't a stainless steel one!
Chele77 07-15-06, 08:24 AM Yeah, I was told that that string thingy was too far forward underneath my tongue for me to ever get it pierced. Other than my ears, that was the only part of my body I wanted to pierce.
So, animal, I was wondering if you could tell us another story about you stirring people up, perhaps this weekend you did something? :)
another story? ok this one time at band camp.... lol j/k
After one of the many parties we've held at this house, it was just a housemate and myself still up at around 8am. We were getting bored, and there was a friend of a friend of another housemate, asleep on the lounge.
We decided to entertain ourselves by messing with his head. He got woken up about every 20 mins, with me wearing different costume stuff..... I just added a new piece each time. After a few hours I was wearing:
Fireman outfit (a real one - i'm also a fireman)
blonde afro wig
ski helmet
ski goggles
xbox headset (headphones with microphone)
big golf umbrella
machete
The poor guy didn't know what was going on, but managed to go back to sleep quite quickly after each awakening.
To cut a long story short, he was ok and had another beer with us a bit later. We heard through the grapevine that he has vowed never to return to our house! hahaha
~boots~ 07-15-06, 12:34 PM I have the flexible plastic ones ($1 each from ebay), !I got some of those, but the plastic bar was too long...I like the shorter ones:p
I got some of those, but the plastic bar was too long...I like the shorter ones:p
Same, my metal bar is shorter, and so I can function normally and speak normally, and rarely bite it. Unfortunately one of the metal balls is done up too tight and I can't undo it.
The plastic one I put in the other day is light blue and looked awesome under black light in the club!
~boots~ 07-15-06, 10:32 PM I am looking for a soft ball...the plasic ones are still hard, but not as bad to bite on as metal. I much prefer the metal balls..but I like my teeth too :-))
Chele77 07-15-06, 10:50 PM Animal, I like your new avatar, it hit me that I actually do know you quite well, we have been in a number of movies together as well as being on the muppet show together!
Hahaha yes Chele we do!
Biting my tongue trying not to comment on people biting balls :p
Crazy~Feet 07-15-06, 11:13 PM Hahaha yes Chele we do!
Biting my tongue trying not to comment on people biting balls :pLMAO have you also been "in" Sydney? Happens to us all I am willing to bet, this zany sense of humor can be a blessing and a curse some days.
Crazy :D

Crazy :D
I love this kind of humor! :D Which is why I sometimes find myself in trouble! :)
Word play is my favorite kind of humor, but I find it goes over most people's heads. <-- Most people still only have 1 head don't they? hehe :)
Shoot, I'm still wondering if animal got my joke about the "Divorce settlement" thing or if he took it literally! LOL :D Oh well! :)
Ichpuchtli 07-16-06, 05:04 AM Currently we have being offering the NZ's purses, the ones who we know. They all give very crude and vulgar retorts.
This is a very Aussie one so I don't excpect most people to understand.
Although we wern't to keen to do that at the entrance to the match. I would like to stay alive.
*~ §EEK ~* 07-16-06, 07:24 AM Well, your correct Ichpuchtli! I can't figure it out! :)
I thought perhaps it might have something to do with New Zealand and football, but eventually I just gave up trying to figure it out!
~boots~ 07-16-06, 07:48 AM LOL..they are what balls are kept safe in ;-) Now, it depends on your interpretation of *balls* as to whether you get it right :-)
Yes Tracy I got that one...
According to Merrick and Rosso most married mens 'balls' are kept in their wives purses!
I've just read through my posts from last night/early this morning.
I think I might have to breath test myself before posting next time
I just got told something interesting that happened at the wedding.....
Someone I don't know too well was caught out warning someone visiting from interstate about me... not sure how to take that....
And the bride was whinging yesterday that I was to blame for a lot of things that happened! ROFL It wasn't me but I really don't think much of her, and the person she was whinging to takes everything she says with a bucket of salt. :D
Quite often if there is someone that I really don't like I'll make out that I'm nuts and they'll keep their distance. It works a treat!

My friends know I'm harmless though :D
~boots~ 07-18-06, 04:43 AM I returned to a place where I went to a party a few weeks ago!
The *hostess* said
"I was talking to my friend, after the last party we had , about how great you treat my son (my 17yo's b/friend) ":p
I said, LOL "he's a mini version of me at that age, except he is more sensible":D
and she said "yes, Joanna said that she is AMAZED you are the way you are, and treat Luke so well..CONSIDERING how you cough cough... *were*... when you were young!!!"
now, I am like OMG!! I don't EVEN KNOW Joanna??? How the hell does she remember me from all that way back..:o
geez I hate that :faint:
I hate it when people talk about you after you leave
~boots~ 07-18-06, 04:48 AM but this is more funny..same party, same hostess..
she said "oh, have you two met?" to me and the lady who was babbling in my ear...
I immediately said "no, sorry , what is your name?":D
and she said
"we have met a few times...we were talking at the last party...don't you remember???"
and I am like.."nope..sorry":p :p I had no clue who she was..never met her, (IMO) then Luke pipes up with, "Gee Tracy, don't you remember, she talked to you for AGES!!!!...???"
now, that happens to me ALL THE TIME!! I really don't like that !!! I take at least 4 or 5 get-to-gethers, to even think I may remotely know someone   ..how embarrasing:faint:
Sounds like it was all good words said about you though. :)
~boots~ 07-18-06, 04:50 AM Sounds like it was all good words said about you though. :)LOL..no..somehow I DON'T THINK SO!!!!:D
I do that all the time! Luckily most of our parties usually involve a lot of drinks etc, so it's not so bad when your memory is a bit fuzzy.
but this is more funny..same party, same hostess..

That happens to me all the time! I never remember people either, it gets even worse when I drink. Even when I do remember people, I can't seem to remember their names.
Crazy~Feet 07-18-06, 05:21 PM LOL..you, I am afraid, are a MALE version of me!!! :D :DHeh...ya have any idea how many times people online think I am a guy?
Guess I got balls huh? :D:D
VisualImagery 07-19-06, 12:42 AM So sorry, I think it is the Trekkie thing. My girl friend and I were the only females we knew who watched original mysogynist Star Trek. It is nice to know there are many of us organic pegs that don't fit into a geometric world. Do you watch the original show on G4?
My favorite teacher quote:
I'm a teacher, not a dean of students.
My favorite Bones quote:
I'm a doctor, not a midwife.
Heh...ya have any idea how many times people online think I am a guy?
I had to check after a few of your posts ;)

:) Something that just came to me, even though I'm not mechanically minded....
Functioning with ADD/ADHD is like using metric sockets on imperial nuts. You can make it work but the fit is never perfect.

*~ §EEK ~* 07-19-06, 02:15 AM Animal, Ya wanna know what I like the most about this thread?? LMAO :D
Nobody that posts in this thread actually discusses the original thread topic!!!! LMAO :D
Which makes it a lot more fun to me!! LOL :D
What was the topic again?
(I actually had to look)
~boots~ 07-19-06, 04:42 AM was there a topic ?? LOL
*~ §EEK ~* 07-19-06, 04:45 AM I didn't mean to get you all stirred up! hehe :)

*~ §EEK ~* 07-19-06, 05:22 AM I'm thinking of starting a thread called, "Nothing In Particular", so we can all visit about nothing in particular, and not have to worry about getting off the topic! LOL :D
That would be rather refreshing don't ya think? :)
We could visit about all sorts of fun things, such as:
Does displaying two smiley faces :) :) mean the person posting is smiling twice as big???
Or does it just mean that they have a trigger happy finger?? hehe :)

VisualImagery 07-19-06, 06:55 PM Animal and Tracy, you two must have really big wooden spoons-you stir a lot of things up.
How have I stirred things up in my life? Disagreeing with a preacher-really put me on the #$%$E%& list-don't go there anymore. And, I was so nice-just said I could no longer agree with a certain belief.

haha no wooden spoons please! I was a naughty kid and my mother used to use a wooden spoon to smack me, I don't know how many she broke on my posterior! :D
I don't agree with preachers, or religion in general. I usually find that asking them for some physical evidence shuts them up.
VisualImagery 07-20-06, 02:18 AM I just used this as an example of one experience I had.-I want to respect other people's beliefs. We don't want to get into a religious discussion here, it is a verbotten subject on the forum, with which I totally agree.:)
True, I didn't really think about that when I posted. In my defence, I wasn't picking on any specific religion. :foot:
VisualImagery 07-20-06, 03:02 AM I know, it's just that this can be a VERY touchy subject on both sides. The moderators-Wisdom they have.
Crazy~Feet 07-20-06, 05:28 AM The moderators-Wisdom they have.And like Yoda-they speak?
Sorry, maybe I am kind of a sci-fi freak in a good kind of way, for a female?
:D
VisualImagery 07-20-06, 10:28 AM Happy caught that one you did. And like Yoda, speak they do not. Hmmm...A Yoda speak thread we need? This is the modern version of pig latin from my day
igpay, atinlay

I haven't even seen all of the movies, but yoda talk, love it I do. :p
