I have my 1st doctor's appt. tomorrow for my adhd symptoms. I recently changed insurance companies and when I did so I did not disclose that 6 years ago I was treated for depression/panic attacks. Because I didn't disclose it should I not tell my psychiatrist tomorrow that I was treated for them 6 years back?
When I was treated for depression/panic attacks it was not with the insurance I had previous to my new insurance.
I just don't want my psychiatrist to fill out some form saying I was treated many years ago for these 2 things and then send it to my current insurance. They may say I didn't disclose it and it is common with adhd patients and send me a big bill.
A better question may be can my psychiatrist send all info I give them to my insurance including what I tell them I was treated for in the past?
