Why do I have a serious case of ADD? New doc says my symptoms are not being controlled despite the high doses of ritalin and concerta I am on. and I thought i was just not handling things well. space cadet, that means you are not on the right dose because your symptoms are not controlled and you are not handling things well. That is why I am such a top flight space cadet.!!!

Maps are useless for the most part IMO RADD :( sorry ya feel so rotten but hey...I ran outta Concerta myself :o. Um, try not to fight against it if you can? That helps me a bit.

I am a teacher and not working this summer so I will just chill tomorrow and finishe the cipro and rest. hubby drove since i felt so lousy-he drove me crazy and i did the same to him. it is so frustrating to be doing well and then go down the toilet. i know it is temp. that helps a lot.

Oh, my new doc confirmed that I had serotonin syndrome and put it in my medical record. :) :)

Ok then, wtf is seratonin syndrome? Trying to keep ya engaged here RADD, I do care after all :).

I scored higher on the ADD quizzes on meds than when I was not medicated. more add when on meds. curious.

Doc told me ritalin works well for kids but not as well in adults. interesting. she really understood ADD. it was so nice. very kind and treated me like an equal.

i don't know if increasing the dosage would do it. even adding the ritalin in march didn't do much. i was under so much stress and the drug interaction was so bad that i am just now sorting things out.

Yep my doc was against adding regular IR Ritalin, choosing instead to bump the Concerta past the current "boundaries" for addults. Same thing with the kid, she is at an addult dose herself at age 10.

But hey, maybe the Adderal will be better! Ya never know :) just cuz it sucked rotten eggs for me and the Kid does not mean the same for anyone else.

It makes perfect sense! LOL. There are so many posts on this forum where someone says "My psych/doctor/neurologist/neighbor says I am the worst case of ADD they've ever seen!" that it is hard to believe that so many worst cases could possibly be all in one place! I mean really, how many "worst cases ever seen" can there be? Shouldn't at least some of them be written up in medical journals somewhere as the worst of the worst?

Disclaimer: I myself have posted that my psych told me that my ADHD symptoms were the "most obvious" of all his adult ADHD patients.

So, yeah, I guess some of us do want bragging rights for being more confused than you!

Do I get extra point if I took this test when the thread first began but never posted my results and now I have to take the test again because I forgot what the results were
