Hi everyone,
I hope there are still people around the board tonight. I have a question. I'm in a position that I enjoy for the most part, though I'm not busy enough. And, because my position was sort of created out of need, there has never been an "official" position created for me. As a result, I'm paid way lower than the industry standards for my job and there is no money to create a "proper" positon (aka raise) for me. I know I'm not going anywhere. So, I finally got up the nerve to apply for some things online. This was very hard for me as I'm terrified of change. But, I really need to think about my future and I don't make squat. I need to make more.
So, I got a solid nibble on my resume and a phone interview tomorrow for a job that sounds sooooo perfect. Perfect location, perfect industry...dream job. I started researching on what my job is actually worth in my area. I knew it was a lot more than I make but...Wow! My question is this:
What do I say if they ask me what my salary requirements are? I haven't been asked that in about 6 years. I do have all the skills they are looking for and a ton of experience, etc.
