Hes been out of town but we talk every day, he said he knew because i was able to pick my son up from school that and other reasons, my son asked if i was working tomorrow and i told him i wont be working for awhile. I start school on the 15th of Aug, I want to take a pharmaceutical course to become a pharm tech, I am scared because i have never finished anything ive started in my whole life, and i get fired from practically every job. I just don't want this to be like that, I want to change, be strong and work every day. My boyfriend comes home tomorrow I know he is disappointed in me, and I'm going to hear about how school will end up the same way. I feel like I am bound to fail, I'm not just saying that I mean It because I always go in wanting to do my best full force ahead and i do a great job...............for a while then zip zero, all motivation interest drive will vision....you get the point, it all just disappears. I'm afraid of that happening again, I have to do something because I cant do nothing for the rest of my life, with all my luck I could end up to be 80 and thats a long time to do nothing!!!!!

I have had a lot of trouble with being fired from a lot of jobs too. I find that developing a relationship with your boss where you can tell them what is going on in your life and have a joke helps a lot. I think it helps to open up communication channels about work related stuff as well. I guess not every boss is going to be understanding if you tell them you have AD/HD but I told my current boss and we have worked out a plan to address stuff. For me, it really helps to meet with her once a week for 15 minutes (which other people don't do but in terms of my organisation getting the best out of me it is definitely worth their while). We go through my task list and draw up a plan of how I am going to spend my time at work and she has a look over it and re-arranges my priorities and checks if the amount of time I am planning to spend meets her idea of what I should be spending. I never follow the timetable I draw up but it helps to just aid discussion about what my boss thinks is worth my time and so she knows how much I have on my plate. I am not sure what industry you are in but I make a lot of use of Outlook calendar to remind me to do things, go to meetings, etc, so I don't get in trouble so much anymore because of forgetting to do things. I am also allowed to take time off to see a psychologist about behavioural strategies and to see my Doctor for meds.
I am not sure if you are aware but AD/HD is now considered as a disability and under equal opportunity laws, employers need to make provisions for you otherwise you can sue their ****! You can also sue them if they know you have it and sack you due to something that is attributable to your AD/HD (within reason). Though you need to tell them you have it. I think it can be good to tell them so that they know that you don't stuff up because you don't care, but because you have AD/HD and can't help sometimes forgetting or whatever a bit more than other people. You should check out your rights under EEO laws and I would also join a union if you have one for your industry.
This website has a lot of good ideas for job accomodations you can make yourself or the employer might be willing to do: http://www.add.org/articles/jobacc.html
Gee, if your boyfriend is going to tell you that you can't finish your university, that sucks. If you are feeling bad about yourself for losing your job anyway you don't need to hear that. I would be seriously angry with a partner who treated me like that, they should be encouraging!
I think doing jobs and courses you enjoy can help a lot with motivation. I eventually plan to work for myself so that I don't have anyone else to answer to.
