Mushroom "burgers"
1/4 cup low salt soy sauce
1/4cup white viniger
2 tbl spoons maple syrup
1 tbl spoon garlic powder
1 tbl spoon minced onion
large (i really mean LARGE:D ) portabella mushrooms
sliced white cheese
combine first five ingreadiants place in a ziplock bag and add mushrooms. shake untill well covered. maranate for at least 3-4 hours or over nite. Broil on high untill hot and tender. Top with cheese and any other things you would top a burger with. Tastes great and you dont really miss the beef.

Thanks for the recipe. I have been looking for a portobello mushroom patty recipe. I rarely eat meat anymore. It makes a big difference in my health. If you have an cookbooks you use and really like, I would love a recommendation.
