I have come to the realization that I need a job where I can drive around all day and see different sights/sounds. Being in a cubicle sucks
How do I get a job with a company like UPS or FedEx?

I don't know how you get a job as a UPS or fedEx driver. I'm a school bus driver and love it, not saying it's what you should do. I've never worked in a cubicle kinda job couldn't handle that !!
Did you try their website? I know that some companies have information for employment on their websites.
I used to work at UPS, a looooooong time ago.
I'm not sure if they're hiring practices have changed since then, since they didn't have a website when I was employed with them, but the easiest way is to go on their site, and check out the 'jobs' section, if it's available.
Or you can simply drive to the nearest hub, and ask security, at the guard shack, to see someone in personell, because you would like to apply for a job.
They don't let you just walk in to the hub, even employees have to show their badge, to the security guard, each and every day.
I will tell you though, that you won't start off as a driver. You will start at a lower level, which is usually a loader (loading packages on the truck), unloader, or a sorter (sorting the packages on the belt). There is a lifetime waiting list, for drivers, so you either have to be patient, or write off that idea, totally.
There are also non-union type jobs available, like being an auditor, or working with their Loss Prevention Dept. (if you have a background in it).
You also have to be enrolled in a college or university, and they only hire for part time hours. (the pay alone for those hours, is not feasible to live on, unless you either have another job, or have someone providing for you).
There are several hubs in a major city- so you'll be hired to work in one, depending on which one needs the help.
Good luck,

I too worked a stint at UPS, at their airport operation.
All said was true. They don't hire out of their location, usually they do it through a local job search office such as worksource. It's only part time, at night a lot of times. Benefits are excellent though, at least when I was there. Back then we got full medical after 30 days, with no deductible, only a small co-pay of around $5.00.
At any rate, you'll have to work your up to driver, and that could take quite awhile.
If you're that hot to drive, get a class B CDL and you can drive dump truck, vacuum truck, etc.
