Hi,

My IP address was banned from this site, along with my account - "affliction"

I'm not exactly sure why this happened, and I didn't get any email from a moderator saying why this was done. The only thing I can think of is that I posted a thread yesterday asking for advice regarding OTC sleeping pills, which perhaps was against the TOS? I thought it'd be okay since I posted it in the "ADDiction & Substance Abuse" forum, but maybe I was wrong.

Anyway, I was just hoping a mod or admin could tell me what I did wrong so I could avoid it in the future. I didn't mean to cause any problems - I love this forum and the wealth of information I can find here, so I'd love to continue posting here if possible.

I'd also be really, really happy if I could have my IP ban removed and my old account reinstated! :)

But if that's too much, I understand. I just had to ask though :p

I responded to your post, and I recommended several OTC sleep remedies. I am shocked that I am unable to find your post now.

I also noticed that Theta (a very nice member here) had there post deleted by an admin here (it would appear) in one of the Desoxyn threads (for some unknown reason).

I wish I knew why this was being done, or why there was no explanaition for such activity, but as long as this site is free I guess we should not expect much in the way of explanaition, or justification for anything along those lines. I read the forum guidelines, and it would appear that an admin here can at their discretion delete any post for reasons that they see fit. I respect that they must have good reasons, but I am curious about your post, and Theta's post that was deleted yesterday, as they both seemed relatively harmless to me.

Hey there, lars! Yup, I remember your replies - they were very helpful! :) Luckily I remember most of what you said, so I still have a good idea of what to look for at the pharmacy. Thanks again for the advice on that subject!

I just remembered another reason why I might've been banned. I bypassed the cuss word filter in that thread, which perhaps was a bad idea - but I didn't realize it would be a big deal, considering the forum it was in and the subject matter of it all. I mean don't get me wrong, I understand why someone wouldn't want a minor reading cuss words, but I said to myself, "Okay, this forum is full of threads talking about drug addiction and drug abuse - I can't imagine a few cuss words will ruffle any feathers around here." But I could easily have been wrong about - and if so, I apologize!

Whether my IP ban was due to the thread's subject material or the cuss words within - I honestly didn't mean any harm. I wish they would've edited my post - or even deleted it - rather than banning my account and my IP address.
