Abady911 08-06-06, 07:25 AM Hey all, so what do you think... what are the best jobs for people like us? money is a big factor :D pittguy578 08-06-06, 02:53 PM Definitely not an inside claims adjuster! I can attest to that lunaslobo 08-06-06, 10:15 PM hmm well i think something outside, something that taps into our creative minds, no boss around, and pays lots and lots of money. just wish i knew what that was. when someone fndsout let me know. Bugs-n-Bunnys 08-08-06, 05:47 AM I've got a partially great job. I'm a biologist. I work at an engineering form. I perform lots for field work doing endangered and threatened species surveys, habitat mapping, wetland jurisdictional determinations, restoration and monitoring. Envirnomental Consultant. However, I do have to come back to teh office and write reports and fill out permit applications, and lots of paperwork, and that is where I lose my efficiency and focus. I tend to leave it out in the woods with the "Bugs-n-Bunnys". I'm a tree hugger and I get paid pretty good. My husband is a PE - Professional Engineer - he can sign and seal and all that stuff for you non-engineering folks, and I'm not that far off his salary. However, you do need a BS (minimum) for this job. that took me forever to get. Bugs-n-Bunnys 08-08-06, 05:49 AM Man I cannot spell worth a crap. It should be engineering FIRM, and ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT, oh well what do you expect at 5:49 am est *~ §EEK ~* 08-08-06, 06:01 AM Man I cannot spell worth a crap. Make your life easier Bugs! :) http://www.iespell.com/ ieSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell checks text input boxes on a webpage. It should come in particularly handy for users who do a lot of web-based text entry (e.g. web mails, forums, blogs, diaries). Peace :) mguffey31 08-08-06, 08:49 AM Trauma surgeon. No boss, excitement, big bucks, no whammies! Bugs-n-Bunnys 08-08-06, 11:36 AM Dam - you go girl! (or boy) TheMiNd 08-08-06, 05:56 PM I'm headed down the path of child psychologist... I've had alot of fun in the jobs I've had working with children with developmental disabilities. The therapy programs I've used are entertaining (and challenging) for both me and the kids. bunny0271 08-08-06, 09:45 PM I can attest to not being self employed where you need to actually motivate yourself and try to make yourself sit and work. Not working well for me at all. Abady911 08-12-06, 04:20 PM offf... I've been working in finance for the last 6 years (since I graduated from College!)- Always done great but never really enjoyed what I do.. i think the only thing that kept me going is the challenge Since my ADHD discovery less than a month a go I asked to be moved to marketing :) ... I know I always wanted to do this... just never dared... wish me luck ;) |
