I know that everyone here has the generic versus generic drama and I have to say that there are so many differences around the metabolism... I.E. I could take 10 mg of immediate release smithkline dexedrine and it wears off in 2.5 hours... with the mallinckrodt IR version the dose changes the length of time that it works with the daily dose that I normally take of actual Dexedrine it was okay for me mentally due to the fact that the wear off was timed and the effect was based solely on dose at the time. I am on long acting only until the glaxxo company or my pharm's wholesalers get off there butts and send more so I apologize for the excessive dialogue... but back to my point I started the mallincrodt brand on friday and it must build up in your system because I took 30 mg total for the whole day and was up all night and developed symptoms of overdosage (i.e. amphetamine psychosis) Paranoia etc... and I felt like I was at the right level at 20 mg... 8 hours after the first dose... the even stranger part is that the 10 mg IR version and the 15 mg spansule versions never gave me these problems but today I took the Glaxxo spansules and I was calm focused attentive etc... I have my doc looking for a pharmacy that may carry the glaxxo 5 mg dose as we speak because I felt like a description I read about a person who overdosed on cocaine and I had this thing where I though bugs were crawling under my skin and I was on 60 mg of desoxyn before and didn't get this predicament... but the med builds up or something
