I've been on 18mg Concerta(taken 7ish in the morning) for a month or so. Particularly on the holidays, I'd occasionally wake too late and it'd be too late in the day to take in. In comparison I guess I felt more in 'the game' more in tune with things happening outside than caught up in my thoughts. My mum also seemed to think that when talking to me I was more responsive, seemed to react/realise quicker etc.
I was initially started on dexamphetamines, which I noticed when it had worn off but couldn't really explain the difference?
Uggh.
I've been upped to 36mg, as when my psychiatrist asked about when I felt I could concentrate better in comparison to when it was worse matched the pattern of Concerta's effectiveness. He said I'd notice the difference of the different dose.
Still, I dunno. This week(first week of 36mg) has just be kinda stressy, assignments late, teacher all omg exams :D etc. I don't think that's helped.
Main things I notice is that I don't stumble so much over what I'm saying, I can order what I mean to say more easily(rather than trying to say seemingly 10 things at the same time), (there was another thing but I forget), forget things a little less, can deal with "extra information" better(ie. worded maths problems, wordy texts, people saying a lot of unexciting stuff in one go). The period where it peaks(lunchtime-ish) is a bit clearer and a bit more noticeable. I think.
I've had pretty much no side effects( at least that I've noticed). Thing is, hypothetically if I didn't know I was taking it, I wouldn't have noticed anything.
My psychiatrist said to me that it's me taking it and only I can know if it's working, but I'm just really unsure. I don't think I'm noticing a whole lot, but I'm bad at telling differences in myself.
I'm meant to ring him soon
