I was wondering if any of you work in Marketing?

I grew up way into arts and music. (I was a musician as a teenager, and both my parents had careers related to art/music/tv/recording/movies etc.)

It was pretty fun.. during that time I had a part time job at a marketing company which I've been at for almost 5 years and will be leaving next month to move and go back to school..

During that time I realised I was really interested in marketing.. I did really well at my job because I'd constantly have to be coming up with creative ideas.. Normally I have so much going through my head at once that it sometimes causes trouble, but in this case at work it came in very handy!

So Marketing (especially promotional stuff) seems to be something where my ADHD is actually an asset! it's so awesome... One day someone mentioned how it was amazing how many ideas I was able to come up with and I joked "I've got A.D.D. to thank for that!".... I think they thought that was a joke.:p

When you find something you are good at and enjoy you should reallly pursue it.
Marketing can take you in so many different directions that after a few years you can go in a different area of marketing or even start your own company.
