No I never feel like that. it sounds a little like an anxiety attack. I am prone to high anxiety, but I always have a reason for it, even though my reponse to that "reason" is far too extreme....

That's why I have a bottle of Xanax in my pocket! Sometimes it happens to me at the wee hours of the morning when I'm sleeping. I'll wake up and my heart will be racing and I have to check that all of the kids are safe and breathing and even check to make sure that the basement isn't flooded and nothing is burning.
Then I remember that I have Xanax and I could take it--which leads to that fun frustrated feeling of "OMG, when will I be able to have a day without taking meds for something?".

That's just how I start my day--god forbid that I have an unplanned meeting come up for work or something.

Anxiety sucks--but there are worse things to deal with!

Hang in there and get some professional help if you can.

I can sympathize with this feeling. I've felt that way man times. I am doing nothing and then suddenly I am anxious and i dont knw why. Do I try to figure out if there is anything I eed to be anxous about. i literally seem to look for somtihng to be anxious about. :( That of course makes me more anxious.

:confused::confused::confused:This is more like all my muscles feel tight and I just feel overwelmes, I have had an anxety attack before and this does not feel like one, even my jaws will feel tight, if it stays this way too long my jaws will hurt, but I feel like I am not in control of anything around me and that the house will be too messy or I am too fat, I am not fat though I am 5'5 and I weigh 112 but I had an eating disorder as a teen, it is odd huh? :faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint:: faint::faint::faint:

Yep, for me it's more physical than mental. I was feeling this way Thursday and foolishly tried to cook supper... not a good thing when I'm irritable and jittery. It drives my daughter crazy that I will sit here and seem like I'm on edge, with my leg bouncing or my foot tapping or my hands flapping. It doesn't seem to be anything in particular that I'm anxious about, maybe it's due to weather changes, they sure bother me in other ways, but changes in the weather don't always bring on this crazyness. My muscles get so tense and tight... maybe it's an allergy?

Yea exactly.... once I was trying to cook dinner when one came on, The dishwasher had leaked and I did not know it so I steped in the water, then tracked foot prints all over the floor, so I was trying to clean that and make dinner, trying to stay calm but felt so tight my head was starting to hurt, it was too much for me....
I am glad that I am not the only one that goes through this...
I would be on edge too, then if my hubby comes up and trys to hug me I can not even handle a hug, if he realizes what is going on he says just calm down, sit down and try to relax. that does help a little but not all the way...:o

I ALWAYS know why I have anxiety. Typically it is because I am overwhelmed or because I am having sensory problems and am overwhelmed anyway. Overload is overload , wether it is because I went to the mall, or because my plans changed suddenly, or because I have sensory issues. (check the box marked "Item D , all of the above" ) :p

Yes, "overload" describes it pretty well. And my ex would come up behind me and give me a hug and being touched was just about the last thing I needed when I was on overload, eh?

Kelli, you're so lucky that your hubby is trying to understand and help you.

I get frustrated, irritated, and restless when my Ritalin starts to wear off.

I dont want to answer any questions, be bugged, touched, etc.

This only lasts about 1 hour, but I noticed I can cut these down if I just eat something slightly before the hour that the meds leave my system.

Then they cranky mood isnt so bad.

My anxiety levels have gone up the last few days! I am not sure why-despite taking my alprazolam. Muscle tension and some chest pain, I have also been really hungry-that is unusual too. Luckily I see the doc tomorrow-Every two weeks is getting to me-180 mile round trip!

When the anxiety gets like this I notice some depression kicking in. It could mean my Wellbutrin needs to be increased-I am on 150/day. I am also trying to make a number of neccessary changes in my life right now and that may be another cause.

If anyone has any suggestions to manage change without triggering anxiety I would appreciate hearing from you!.
