Does anyone have any experience with Zyprexa. My doc added it to my list today and I'm getting worried. This is the 4th antipsychotic I've had to try. Risperdal and Seroquel didn't agree with me and Solian is good but I can't take enough to be effective coz of the prolactin side effect.
So now I'm on dex, luvox, solian and now zyprexa.
Maybe a new brain would be better.

Seems like a lot to wade through...
You recently stopped this drug, didn't you?

Yeah, I'm really mad with my doc for giving it to me - considering that I had a similar reaction to another antipsychotic earlier this year. I hate drugs. They are not the answer but he keeps prescribing me all this sh*t rather than helping me to gt access to counselling so I can learn how to cope.

There seems to be truth to the idea that reliving the experience just reinflicts it on one.
But desensitization still seems to be in favor, concerning things that are not dangerous.
Keep reading. Find what looks like help to you. then ask for it, or to be referred to someone who would help that way.

Abilify? it's also an atypical antipsychotic, and I'm on it after not being able to take Seroquel, risperdal, and zyprexa (they put me on the floor...carpetfaced...lol)
It's non sedating, but I don't know about the prolactin effect, as I have that a little from the lamictal I'm on, but it hasn't increased it any.
It's working very very well for me (Bipolar, rapid cycling, ADD and hypothyroid) to keep my moodswings more stable, and it's quieted down the sounds I used to hear that weren't there.
Good luck,

I'm off all meds at the moment - cold turkey - kind of shaky now. I really don't think I can take any more of the trial and error approach.
