For the past 3 weeks I have done TONS of ot at work. I LIKE my job...have been at the same company for almost 5 years..so my add seems to not have too badly impacted my job.

The problem is that my job requires a LOT of brain power. I am an "analyst" and also now a mentor for a new team member. I took half a day off Thursday and all of yesterday..and I slept ALL DAY yesterday. I mean I think I got up twice to use the bathroom and that was IT! I slept all day, no food, nothing..just sleep.

Anyone else with ADD sleep a lot after using a lot of brain power at work?? My husband says there is something wrong with me!!!:faint:

I can and have slept for 17 hours before.

Actually, I usually sleep 8 -14 hours a night.

I know exactly what you mean. My Fiance works in a factory and he says the same thing. He really bugs me when he says "you sit in an office all day, how can you be that tired?" I think that brain power is just as tiring as physical work.

Just the opposite - that is the time that I can't sleep. Always trying out the newest idea and there is always another 'project' looming around the corner. For example: for the past few months, I've been working pretty much all of the time. Every weekend and when I do take on, I'll spend the entire day [sometimes day and night] in front of my computer trying to figure out complicated problems. Once it was trying to code an algorithm to calculate distance by longitude/latitude, another time it was going overboard with a project that I 'volunteered' for. Made my boss mad that I came up with something that the CEO's secretary loved and word quickly got around. No need for a big head, I'll screw up something to bring it back to a normal size.
