Wow! What a day! We took my daughter to college today. My 5 yr old with SID and ADHD realy behaved well. Much better than expected durring all the time it took to put together the loftset up the computer, etc...

We get him home, he is tired, but then stays up until 6:30 in the morning! I have to burn a sick day to try and catch some sleep.

Of course he does not just stay up and watch TV or play quietly. He bounces off the walls and requires 100% of your attention, 100% of the time.

He's asleep now, time for me to follow suite.

I feel your pain. Is your 5yr old on meds? We use melatonin a half hour before bedtime and neurologist says there are some good prescription sleep aids for children if melatonin stops doing the trick. Still, mine is up until 12 - 1 some nights and back up again at 6 - 7 for school.
