Hey there I am on the max dailly dosage of concerta (72 mgs).
While it does keep me calm I notice it doesnt do much for focus.
Now could that be due to diet and foods that interact with the medication?
Thanks

You might need "booster" doses of Ritalin (methylphenidate), the fast acting form of the same drug as Concerta! I take 72mg also, and 10mg 3x day of of ritalin. The info is on this thread. Please read through the threads on Concerta and Ritalin-there is a mountain of helpful information in those forums about focus etc.
If you use the search feature on the blue tool bar above it will help you find what you are looking for!:) Then you can add further questions that members will try to answer-we don't have all the answers though! No one does. :(

Thecrozz, that's a recommended "max dosage". Please see my sigline :). I have also recently added booster doses of Ritalin, because my day tends to last a LOT longer than 12 hours (more like 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM) during which time I must be medicated (or risk losing track of 2 very tricksy children).
Feel free to mention my situation to your own doctor and best of luck to you. They like to say Concerta lasts 12 hours, but that's a myth for many of us.
I'm going to sound like a doctor about this, but a proper diet and exercise can improve your results. Foods high in protein like fish, ham, and turkey and taking a multi-vitamin can help "balance" you system out a little better.
I have noticed a marked improvement from when I used to eat junk food and never exercise, now that I eat "better" (I still grab a Snickers every-once-and-a-while) I feel that my concentration is much better than before.
Personally my ultimate goal is to get off all meds before 2010..
