Very smooth... never a ramp up jolt at the begining after taking a dose.

Very smooth decline... too smooth, by the time i notice i need another, I am glued to my chair. It is like the rebound effect of lower energy is as smooth as the onset.

Too short acting. To keep up with the "need" I needed on every 2 to three hours. That sounded a little "close" to me... I have no interest in short cycling stimulants and becoming "drug seeking."

It kept me awake, so I didn't get loggy or foggy, but it didn't improve other cognitive defects... focus, NOS, etc.

So I'll use it to "fill in" to keep me awke while driving in the afternoon, and that is probably it.

By the by, this is the same chimical, so i hear, as crystal meth...

It says it is used to treat ADD and obesity.....hmmmm.....there's a combination that's apparently becoming more widespread.....:(

Obesity, I understand, shows up in a culture when they get cooking oil. And refined sugar.

I think it is mostly an accident that stimulants work on both, separately.

But I think it is also interesting that the effectiveness for obesity is not very strong, and dimenishes with length of use...

Sounds like ADHD response too...

I have taken this drug off and on over the years, and I have found it to be one of the best drugs available for this condition. It has a quite a long track record compared to the other FDA approved drugs for treating this condition. In fact the only other stimulant drug on the market that predates it is Dexedrine.

It is very expensive at $2.00 a pill, and I found it just a bit too sedating to be helpful as a student. If I was retired, and could enjoy a slower pace in life, I would prefer Desoxyn above all else.

It's good stuff and lasts 7.5 hours for me. Dex and Desoxyn are my favorite drugs for ADD. Dex might give me a small headache plus it is easier to focus with and Desoxyn is a little better in the thinking department and very laid back. My pulse on Dex is 116/68 and on Desoxyn is 112/70.

I might have given up on medication if it was not for Desoxyn.
