Hi everyone!

This could be long winded! I have been married for 12 years and have 4 young boys and I am a stay at home Mom. I work hard and long all day, but have never been able to keep up. The harder I work, the more I feel I fail and let my family down, especially my husband who works long hours. I have always described this feeling as having one shoe hammered to the floor causing me to spin in circles. My husband is patient but just couldn't understand how I can't get stuff done.(He has bailed me out with the housework many times)

I can not focus on a task. I can't handle unloading a couple of dishes from the dishwasher, then I am off to fold a few clothes, then on to something else. I've read the description of it's like a pinball machine in your head! Exactly it for me:D

Went to the doc because with daily lifes responsibities increasing, I couldn't take it any more. In my description I explained an anxious feeling in my head. Well, that resulted in anxiety medication, didn't help. Then, the most wonderful thing happened at the dentist. I picked up a mag with an article about Adult ADD(which I didn't know adults could have). My heart raced, I wanted to cry from tears of joy and shock! It's me, the story of my life!!!!

Came home looked some stuff up on the web and mailed some symptoms to my husband with out saying what it was. I got back, WOW!!!!!!!!! That is you to a tee!!! What is that from?

I told him and I called the doc. Went in, explained, and left with a prescription for ritalin. Unbelievable how different I can function! Unload the dishwasher effortlessly, actually sorted through school papers, etc., etc. I am estatic! The more I learn, it explains soooooo much about me(including some funny stuff!)

Great site! THANK YOU!

Hello flyfisher. I am glad to meet another stay at home mom who has had problems dealing with the everyday work of cleaning and dealing with kids. I am also a stay home mom of two little boys who are ages 3 and 2. I am also living in michigan and I am trying to find a way of meeting new people with kids that I can do things with or even just talk too. I agree that this sight is a great one. I have not alot of time however to come in here and read all the stories but I do try. Welcome. If you would like please feel free to put me on your buddy list and we can get to know each other more and how to deal with things.
