meadd823 09-09-06, 07:00 AM Cute very cute the subject here is sb's PM box?
Crazy~Feet 09-09-06, 07:02 AM I know he never checks new posts :o and only checks certain forums...not like I could PM him to tell him his PM box is full, aye??
:D
meadd823 09-09-06, 07:06 AM You do have a point think we could have a door bell system for people who forget to clean out thier PM box or may be have a knocking sound every time some one wants to PM a member who has a full PM box perhaps I should move this to site suggestion and feed back! We may actually have an original idea! Okay but ther is no ganrentee SB will read it in there either!
Crazy~Feet 09-09-06, 07:27 AM That would be a great idea...assuming people used speakers and sound. How about a popup like the PMs...
"ATTENTION! Your PM box has reached its quota. You may not receive PMs until you make room by deleting some."
Heck, I forget mine is full all the time...of course larger PM boxes take up more space on the forum so I dig that bit of it.
meadd823 09-09-06, 07:37 AM or have pop ups every time some one tries to message you but can't because your box is too full the sheer annoyance of a pop up box in thier feild of vision would be a incentive to clean the thing out!
Crazy~Feet 09-09-06, 07:46 AM That's even better! And make it a very distracting color too...Oh HF? Remember that color coding proggie....:D.
*~ §EEK ~* 09-09-06, 08:42 AM well get on it ladies! :D
Times a wastin' :)
Unfortunately I won't benefit much from all your wonderful brainstorming. I obsessively delete all my PMs as if they are being stored on my computer and are cluttering up hard drives! LOL :D
However, they still seem like good ideas to me! :)
I thought ADDers could only think outsida' the box.
Ho well!
...:-)...
SB.
How about compress the first 100 messages from Inbox+Outbox when count==200 [into an attachment] ->-send->- nominated email address and delete offa' the forum ...
I'm trying to find a 'meme' from Carla B. from a PM long gone in the halcyon days of 'metamind' {for kv ha ha!} ... and I very much suspect that we're entering Mission Impossible VII -- Tom Cruise asks for seconds ... {psych meds} ...
Where on earth did I stick it?
ha ha ky!

It would be a good idea, wouldn't it? But then again, I am logged into my email all the time, so that already happens (when you quota is filled and someone sends you a PM, you will get an email).
Crazy~Feet 09-09-06, 11:07 AM But HF, you already know how incredibly dense I can be regarding those emails, and missing cues from forum members :o over that issue...I need a siren or something!
VisualImagery 09-09-06, 05:49 PM Announce a PM Tidy Time every so often on the site!
Turn the member's name a particular color like they do for people who are mods, admins, super mods, banned etc! Every mod could have access to do this when they can't pm. Maybe flashing neon or something! :p
I can obsessively delete when reminded! :D Thanks seek!
Just reminded me-I need to go clean out my mailbox.
One last one-stop pm'ing so much. :) :D ;) :p   :eyebrow: :faint:
RADD, better get back in my box before thinking anymore-I might get too wacky!
PS.Hey, I saw other suggestions just like mine-of course! you are right I didn't read all the posts yet! What did you expect :p . But, great minds do think alike-scary ain't it!
VisualImagery 09-09-06, 06:09 PM I had nearly 800 messages and just deleted all but 124! It doesn't take much time. But I am on a roll today!!!!!!

meadd823 09-10-06, 10:45 AM when you quota is filled and someone sends you a PM, you will get an email
Can that be done? Hmmm this would be good for those times after I take a break because I normally check my e-mail onmy way back here. I too stay logged onto my e-mail but have my e-mail pop up windows off because when combined with the pop up PM notifications which are set to on here that would be too many things popping up on my screen I would forget that I was posting never mind remember what I was posting about......but I guess it would be easier to ask one dingie ADDer to turn her e-mail notifications back on (and take her meds which btw)then to reconfigure an entire system???? You got a good idea going HF's cat-lol!
If your PM box is full, you will not receive any additional PMs. If you're having problems clearing out your mailbox, you can contact an Admin to reset your PM box for you. ** Warning - this is an irreversible process...all received and sent pm's will be lost **

It *does* happen already, at least for me. But someone does have to send you a PM first... it doesn't warn you when it is simply filled up. You should get a message titled something like "Inbox full at ADHD Forums....".
meadd823 09-11-06, 06:00 AM Oh it doesn't for me, I don't think, in all honestly I do not know. I try to keep mine emptied I am very visual and I know when I don't see any more green line in the bar a top my box it is time for a cleaning.
I have had problems sending people PMs because thier box is full. . . . . .make those friendly reminders hard to send some times. . . . . .especially for those with an active PM life and ADD! Never considered begining a thread  Cray! :p
