My job has a schedule change that occurs every three months. Any 8 hour period between 6 am to 6:30 pm.

I setup reasonable accomodation to get my schedule fixed at a 6 - 3 shift that I have been using for a long time. I "thought" it was a fixed schedule but apparently my manager only changed my LUNCH time to start at a specific time every day instead of how it was before where lunch would be at 9:30 then 10, then the next day at 11:30 or 11:00.

ROUTINE Is so important to me. So what my discussion was to bring up a request for reasonable accomodation was to have a fixed schedule.

So the schedules changed as normal - but I did not look at it because I "though" mine wasn't going to change - because of all of this. But apparently it did - so my supervisor comes up to me and says " this is a no call no show " - said but this is what I need for part of reasonable accomodation. I need a fixed schedule - not just a fixed lunch schedule.

If anyones been reading my previous thread about how my need for reasonable accomodation started - you will know that the supervisor I work with is compeltely by the book and acts as if shes out to get you or gets jollies off of incriminating someone. She is not the least bit compasionnate about working with me and she does NOT understand my disability at all. She thinks its all bull crap - even though I have not discussed it with her because I deal with HR. I have worked at this job for 5 years and I have had issues like this before but never had to deal with it to this extent with this manager who is a total - (*&)(*&)*(^(*&^(*&) you get the idea.

So I found out my days off changed as well instead of friday and saturday - they are tuesday and wed. So since I have all these stupid late incident warnings and attendance warnings - if I got any more than I could be fired. SO tomorrow I get to find out if I am fired and if I am it will be wronfully I sincerely beleive.

Does anyone else have similar issues like this or had to deal with schedules that change like this?

I could never work a job with a schedule that varied. Last time I did I got threatened to be fired all the time because I could never remember when I worked. Anyway I think that you should talk to your HR department. I dont think that you request is that hard to accomodate and if HR already knows about your disability they should have no reason to not accomodate you.

I have already setup reasonable accomodation at my employer. Although nothing has really been changed at all to "accomodate me" I explained after spending 450 bucks to the doctor and bringing them a note that this is an ongoing process because my situation is rather unique.

I explained routine is what I need. They changed one small tiny little thing for me which was making my lunch start at a specific time every day - where before it would start at 9:30 or 10 or 11:30 on a 6-3 shift. This is good however I thought that they were not going to change my shift - but they did. So I keep getting what I feel is "harrasment" because I thought this was already adjusted!

ALL I WANT TO DO IS GO BACK TO WORK LIKE I HAVE BEEN DOING AT THIS JOB FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS!!

I have continously been hounded by little incidences I incur by being late for stupid bull **** reasons. But this now when they come to me saying I have a no call- no show and another day where I could get in trouhble for "coming in early" is a bunch of crap. This is stress and I am already on a final attendance warning so here it is 3:47 AM in the morning and I can't sleep because I am wondering if they are going to fire me tomorrow.

I have been through so much crap just to get this going - this if anything is a mis communication. Not to mention I have a personality clash with my current supervisor to boot. But they declined to move me to another supervisor for reasonanable accomodation which is a bunch of bull crap cause it would cost them nothing - so I am left trying to make it work with this supervisor and to make these changes to get relief from the stress I am under from dealing with my this manager. Which ( as it states in my doctors note ) that I need reasonable accomodation to lessen the stress, thus anything that can be done is what I need done. This is what my doctor could come up with - for helping me in my unique situation.
It is a joke if you ask me - I came up with a better write-up myself but my job doesn't listen.

They hear me but they don't listen.

Well nothing happend and im on day 2 since. So I guess they aren't going to fire me. I am just doing my work as normal. But my supervisor keeps putting me on weekly work review and i dont know why - my work is fine.

I hate that kind of structure as well. I've done it before, and made it through, but it's not something I seek out. Unfortunately, I have to find a job FAST and I may end up with something similar. The only thing that hurts/helps is I can only work set hours during the week, and no weekends due to the fact that my wife works and I have to keep my daughter. Probably why I can't find a job. :-(.........oh yeah, your situation sounds pretty crappy. Best of luck, maybe another career is in order?
