Ok first off i dont snort it i take it normal and its my new perscription.
My question is "is the adderal affecting me as if i snorted it?"

Like heres how its been since i got on the pill. ok yesterday i woke up and took the pill at 8pm. I was going to ride my bike to school so i was ready to leeve i walk out side to grab my bike and ride to school. Well i walk out side and walk past my bike and start walking back to my mx track back in the woods. It pops in my head and im like wtf am i doing. I go back get my bike and get to school. Every thing seemed less boaring at school and i didnt feel tired at school like normal and i did more work than normal cause i wasnt bord and i felt more happy. well 1:45 came along and i felt like going home so i left and got home at 2:11. I walk in the house and like walk around like im lost back and forth through my house. then i grab a soda and bring it in my room. Then i grab a nother pill im sosposed to be taking and go in the kitchin and take it. I grab a nother soda and set it in my room. then i go to the bathroom and then come out walk in my room and see 2 pepsi's sitting on my bed board. Im thinking how did i get to sodas in my room cause i only rememberd grabbing 1. Then 5 o clock came around and my mom tole me she turnt the computer on for me and i said ok. I walk in by the computer to go on it and as im walking up to it i bend down and push the off button on the tower and it pops in my head. why did i just do that. And i cant listen now. when people talk to me it is like it realy goes in one ear and out the other. like every one that talks to me i answer back aahaa and if they ask me a question im like "what http://forums.atvsource.com/images/smiles/icon_question.gif "
Then last night i was still wide awake at 1pm at night and it didnt feel like i was sleeping at all it felt like i was in a trance floating. I woke up at 7:30 to day and didn't feel tired which i normaly sleep till 10 and feel tired.
To day i havent realy did any thing odd only thing that is going on is i feel full of energy and feel hot and my face is redish and kind of shinny. My eyes look a little differant too, like the puples look bigger than normal and it seems like my eyes are wide open now and normaly my eyes make me look lazzy or laid back and now i look kind of excited.
I feel kind of jumpy too.

So whats going on is my body reacting to adderal xr the same way it would if i was to happen to snort it?

Also today i woke up early (7 am) and i normaly dont wake up till 10 and feel tired. Well today i woke up at 7 and was wide awake and wanted adderal again.

Although I am not taking Adderall, I know what you are talking about. When the doctor first put me on Wellbutrin my ADD symptoms were increased by ten, I was doing incredibly stupid things.

I hated it and stopped taking it on my 8th day.

So, I am on Ritalin now, and I notice that I tend to get this "dumb, blind to the obvious, duh state" when my meds are wearing off. For like an hour as it wears off, I say and do the most dumbest things... that I can believe how stupid I am.

MY BF also says to me... "you weren't like this before you started taking it..."

That makes me kinda worried....

If you have been taking too much addreall , yes , this could be a problem for you.

Snorting adderall is a bad idea as it hits your body rather fast and can cause a variety of nasty effects. Also, the "rush" of snorting addreall on a regularr basis is very likely to lead to an addiciton in short order. Not only that snorting it with the buffers and whatever else is in it can't be very good for your nose.

Also, taking stimulants like adderall with anything acidic (including carbonated beverages) is a bad idea as it can reduce the effectiveness to the point that it does not work very well at all.

what is your daily dose? seems like maybe you're taking too much, to where you're brain is going so fast you don't remember what you just did 2 seconds ago. or maybe that is how your a.d.d. is with too low of a dose (or non-medicated)...

so what is your dose? also, if you snorted it, i'm pretty sure it would be more stressful on your body due to it's quick absorbtion and metabolization... plus with snorting it wouldn't reach your bloodstream in the manner it was meant to, and so the effects are not really desirable to treat a.d.d.

snorting that stuff just makes you high on speed, which is why so many people abuse it.

If you are trying to say that taking adderall properly is causing you to be very manic, then you seriously need to call your doctor ASAP.

It could be that you are one of those people who are very sensitive to stimulants and you are taking too much. This can be a problem as an overdoes could cause amphetamine psycosis (think of it in terms of a trip to the hospital )

It could be that your adderall is not working, or you are doing somethin wrong like taking it with OJ or soda pop , which can cause it to not work very well. This is not serious, but it is no fun to have adhd and discover the meds are not working....

Also, adderall can cause really severe mania in some people.... even hallucinations (again, a potential trip to the hospital ).

In any case, maybe you need to call your doctor if something is not right ?

Well i dont snort it but the affects im getting seem more like it is working as speed for me more than a pill for add.

I take one adderal xr 20mg pill in the morning.

When i wasnt on teh pill i have bad memory but not bad as it's been laitly. and im freaking fealing and seeing black bugs.
Last night at like 11pm i was reading a magazene and then i kept seeing bugs on the pages and then i would look and they would be gon.

just 15minuts ago i felt something on my arm and i grabbed my arm and their was a bug. I think it was a bug. It was black and had 2 long hairs coming off it and then i tuched my eye and thought one dropped but its know were to be seen. now i keep thinking i have bugs on me.

Also, some people have bipolar disorder, or the tendency to have bipolar disorder and amphetamines can cause it to suddenly surface in the form ove a manic episode. It can be serious.

well the last hour been all about bugs and now my fingers keep getting stuff dune to them like zapping and when i put my hand on my mouse it felt like i poped a bubble in my finger.

If i keep taking adderal will the symptoms get worse? cause if they wont get worse i can live with seeing bugs and why do i see the bugs only at night?.

I believe Adderall XR is an 8 hour formulation, and any extended release stimulant formulations should not be lasting that long provided that you did take your last dose at 8 am. You should call your doctor ASAP and not take your medication until then, IMHO.

Is this your first dosage of Adderall XR?

Either way... I don't think it's absurdly high... The Adderall mix falls between pure dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) and methylphenidate (like Ritalin) in terms of potency per mg.

Amphetamine psycosis is sort of like schizophrenia, but it is caused by an overdose of amphetamines. A few people are jsut very sensitive to amphetamines and tend to develop amphetamine psycosis without actually overdosing.

its my second day on it. I took 4 strattera pills every morning for a year and i didnt halusinate but it made my hart race andmy adrennlin stayed pumping all day and i would attack people.
Also i tryed weed like 5 times and every time the stuff i was experincing is not sosposed to happen from weed and the odd stuff was realy bad halusinations.
And the adderal is acting in a way its not sosposed to.

Once when i was awake i was in my room laying on my bed watching tv late at night wit hthe lights off. all of a sudden i heard a sound wave change and looked at my door and and i swear i saw a ghost walking through it into my room. It looked like gas fumes and i just froze and it walked my way and kept wispering i love you over and over then as soon as it got next to my head i jumped out of bed and it was gone. Am i loosing my mind cause i wasnt even on any meds then.

Well, some people who have bipolar disorder can have a bad reaction to marijuana. Also amphetamines can certainly bring bipolar disorder to the surcface. It is too difficult to say. Every person is different.

If you are having hallucinations when you are on no medications, then something is definitely going on. It may be a good idea to tel lyour doc about that the next time you see him.
