My math teacher... she was very nice the first few weeks of school helpful and nice now shes completely different, today she made me feel like crap... she was explaining how to work out a complicated problem with X's Y's numbers and substitution and negatives and everything it was crazy it was about 3 or 4 steps (like you find one number, add that number to find this number subract that number add this number and divide by 2 to get this number then solve the equation, very difficult, so i ask her how she got this on the board "Y= 2*1 - X = 4" i did not understand it Y equals 2 * 1 subtract X equals 4? so i asked, and she was explaining it then halfway through the explination some people sitting next to me (rememebr i cannot control people around me) they say hey hey Psst! hey! you got gum on your shoe. so ofcourse i look (and there wasnt gum it was a joke) so i look back at the teacher (this all took about 2 seconds max) and when i do she was looking at me like so whats the answer? and i say woa wait i got distracted they were tlaking to me, and she says "Well if you caint pay attention then dont ask for help! Next! next question!" i mean talk about making me feel like crap and after that i was so mad and sad she said that i couldnt pay attention to the rest of the lesson so im lost now! clueless and homework due tomorrow and she wont help me, what a b!@#h...
anyway just waned to rant abou tmy new teacher...

That sucks, JustNeedHelp.
This is her first time acting this way towards you?
If so, I'd guess that maybe she was having a bad day and accidently took a bit of it out on youl.
I hope tomorrow is better

I suggest that you sit down with your teacher and talk with her. That's the only way to figure out what's going on. Do your parents know about this?

Are you working with catesian plains or what ever they are called cause the sum looks like one of them, watch out there are many *****y teachers out there, you only got one, I fail math all the time though so I am not great for this.
I have this math teacher and anyway he is the worst I have ever had. He tries to explain something, I say I don't understand what the hell I am suppose to do and then he says "Just do it you'll see" I look down and have no idea so I just ask my friend who is always ahead of the class anyway in math, he starts then I and him get in trouble for talking. No wounder I fail maths eh?:mad::mad::mad:

Hey you all, I am a teacher, I have ADD, and there are many, many, caring teachers out there, trust me, I hear students talk about them all the time. I can tell when I talk to them! No student likes every teacher-but I care and work at helping my students succeed. We are not perfect, just as human as our students. Perhaps you got called out because when she looked up you were the one talking-even though they caused it! Do talk to her, you might be surprised if you get to know her a little better-teaching is a really stressful job that most of us really love. But we have so many students to teach, and have to keep the classroom as a positive learning environment.
If a student came to me, I would explain my perspective and we would talk about how to not get in trouble-I could move someone, or make the class rules more understandable. Sometimes I get a little tough with kids when I am trying to teach a difficult concept and kids like your friends distract the class and me from being able to learn and teach.
If things are really bad, a transfer to a class with a teacher that is more compatible with your personality could be a solution.
I hope you will take the inititative to work things out-it could be a very positive experience for you!
RADD-once a student, now a teacher. Advice from both sides of the fence.

well to answer some questions yes i told my parents my dad (of course he always takes the side of the teachers) but when i told him he said 'well its your fault you should have paid attention' (i was about to go off on him but it was dinner time and i really didnt wanna argue with him)
but i ahvent talked wiht th eteacher yet, i planned on it but i havent yet it happened like 5 or 6 days ago and i just let it go i still makes me a little mad she would say that but its ok, if it happens again i will most definetally be talking with her (in front of everyone in class if need be) as i was about to when she said what she did then but if it happens again depending on what she says i will definetally be talking with her (if severe enough infornt of everyone, but hopefully i will just wait untill the end of class)
